Commentary Magazine : The Fraudulence of Obama

To understand The Chosen One, you have to watch what he does and ignore what he says. Often what he does is the opposite of what he says. Like his first budget:, appropriately titled "A New Era of Responsibility".

Breitbart.tv : Chu: Energy Dept Working To Wean U.S. Off Oil, Not Lower Gas Prices

I think it is in the interest of our national security to wean us off mideast oil. Petrodollars are used to kill our troops and support terrorism around the globe. Conservation is fine; so is the Keystone XL pipeline, oil and gas from shale, green energy and everything in between. But the market should pick winners and losers, not Obama using money borrowed from China or printed by Bernanke.

Breitbart.tv : MSNBC's Bashir: Why Can't American Politics Be Like 'Socialist' NFL?

Great idea! The only problem is that there's this little thing like the Bill of Rights that gets in the way. It protects everyone's right to say what they think, including networks like MSNBC and blowhards Martin Bashir. Perhaps they believe in freedom of speech for themselves, but not those that disagree with them?

Breitbart.tv : Michael Moore: Older Generation Who Didn't Vote Obama Racist

Breitbart is doing none of us a favor by giving space to this goon, Michael Moore. Moore is an expert at manipulating the media to his advantage, and everyone that plays his drivel, reads his drivel, or distributes his drivel is playing into his hands. The best way of dealing with a clown like him is to ignore him. Let's hope that Breitbart will start ignoring him too.

Commentary Magazine : A Powerful Case for Force Against Iran

You're spot on. Military force is not the best option; covert sabotage is much better. Create an accident that spews low level radiation over as many Iranian nuke sites as possible. It will be impossible to rebuild the facilities, and if they look like accidents, the Iranians will view their government as both careless and reckless. A direct military attack on Iran by either the US or Israel would only reinforce the Iranian regime's propaganda, and cause its citizens to close ranks and support the government. Exactly the opposite of what we want.

Breitbart.tv : Keith Ellison: Bachmann Wants Women Barefoot, Pregnant and Back in the Kitchen

Ellison is projecting here. I don't know of anyone that advocates for smaller government that thinks women should be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen. Ellison says he is against "extremists". But those that think this way are usually muslim "extremists": they support sharia, and want multiple wives, want them not to drive, think that rape is the fault of the woman, think they should keep their hair covered, disapprove of makeup, etc. Rather than bitch about republicans, he should take his message to his mosque.

Breitbart.tv : FLOTUS: Obama Kept 'Every Single Promise He Made'

Man - there's a whopper. "He's kept every single promise he's made". Does she have selective memory, or what? How about being a "post partisan" president? Or about going line by line through the budget to look for places to cut? Or about not wanting to run the auto industry? Or closing guantanamo? Or getting out of Iraq by summer 2010? Or about taking responsibility for our budget? Or about reducing unemployment to 8% if we passed the stimulus? Or about publishing bills 5 days before they are signed, and putting all the discussions on CSPAN? Or in the 2010 State of the Union address, promising to drop the health care push and focus on jobs? Yep he kept all of those, didn't he? I will concede, however, that there were a few promises he did keep. He promised to "bend the cost curve" on health care. He did that all right - he bent the curve up. He promised a "fresh start" in our dealings with the muslim world. Yep - the did that one, all right - he did it by throwing our allies (Egypt and Israel) under the bus along with Rev. Wright. He said he'd get tough on Iran - I guess he meant that he'd get tough on the Iranian demonstrators that asked for reform. He promised to nominate activist liberal judges. He promised to increase regulations. He promised to increase taxes. He promised to increase spending. He promised runaway budget deficits. Yep, he did all those. I just wish that he would have kept the promises he ignored, and ignore the promises he kept.

Breitbart.tv : Despondent Chris Matthews Praises 'Strong' Mubarak; Slams Hillary and Obama

I don't often agree with Matthews, but I think he is right on this one. Mubarak's proposal to have elections in September and not to run is a good one. Let's support that idea and take it one step further: get Mubarak to appoint a bipartisan election commission to ensure that the election is a free and fair one. Shift the focus to the election that is coming, and encourage the protesters to engage in the election process and work to elect their favorite candidates. An open, democratic process will give the Muslim Brotherhood a minority position in a coalition government. But an undemocratic, violent revolution will put the Muslim Brotherhood in control.

Breitbart.tv : Pelosi: 'We're Not Going Back to the Past'

Not going back to the past? She looks like she's trying to live in the past with her botched face lift. But more to the point, she doesn't have any choice in the matter. She's going back to the past - she is giving up her job as Speaker, giving up her cushy office, her private plane, her big staff, her time in the limelight. Deal with it honey. You're going back to the past whether you like it or not.

Breitbart.tv : Abortion Activist: 'Women Have Abortions Because They Care About Motherhood'

I don't agree with the euthanasia idea... it conflicts with my idea that all life is sacrosanct, even liberals! But what if they came up with a genetic screen for liberalism - that pregnant women could get a test to determine if their baby was going to be a liberal... and suppose that some women chose to have an abortion to avoid that outcome. What would a liberal do? Would they oppose the abortion of liberals, and try to restrict a woman's freedom to choose? Or would they support it, and recognize liberalism as a genetic disorder? Hmm...

Breitbart.tv : Elitists on the Run: Robert Reich Says America on Verge of Losing Democracy

Reich's data comes from the IRS. What he does not realize, or at least admit, is that the tax code distorts the data. As marginal income tax rates rise, wealthy people hide their income in tax shelters and overseas investments. Today's tax rates are low by historical standards, so wealthy people are hiding less of their income, and the IRS sees more of it being reported. If Reich got his way, he'd raise taxes on the wealthy. Then the wealthy would invest in tax shelters, and the income they reported to the IRS would drop. Does that mean anything? No. It just means that all of the data he uses to base his argument is heavily distorted.
