Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 6/27 Glenn Explains Cap & Trade

As someone that makes a living in the photovoltaic field, I agree with you. There are many American companies you can support in the field and perhaps make a little cash while doing so. Among them are ECD (traded on the NASDDAQ) and First solar (I'm not sure where that is traded). As I said I work in the field so I am biased on the company I would suggest so I will suggest none. The more that is channeled into these companies the closer to grid parity we will get, and that is when photvoltaics will pay off. Just because I support clean energy alternatives does not mean I follow the global warming mantra. I believe that clean air is something we should try to achieve for the sake of clean air.

I have found that liberals are far more likely to name call than conservatives. Labels like ignorant are far more rampant coming from their mouths than conservatives. This is just when you disagree with them, so free thinking that disagrees with liberal thought is ignorance. Now that's just acording to the many liberals that I've disagreed with so often. I'm sure that there are many intelligent liberals out there, ones that can appreciate free thought, ones that question everything ( including the "science" behind global warming). I've just not met one yet. I seem to be on a Winston Churchill kick today. Oh well. "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."

You seem to put far to much emphasis on education as a condition of intelligence as well. In reality education only provides you with knowledge, it's the application of that knowledge that indicates intelligence. As far as campuses being full of liberals thus it has been for quite sometime, and will remain so. When department heads surround themselves with like minded individuals what else would you exspect. Just remember with some exceptions, those that can not do teach.

As far as subtely and nuance I prefer the the Winston Churchill aproach. "If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack." What you would seem to prefer, by your statement, is something called subterfuge. Yes, that age old tradition of politicians not meaning what they say or changing the meaning of words to conform with what they "ment".

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 5/22/09: CBO Say Unemployment To Rise Through Next Year

As someone who works in the renewable energy market (the photovoltaic industry), I feel I should say that renewable energy field has not been helped by the less than stimulating "stimulus" package either. As I and my co-workers have all been laid off and have had our hours cut recently. It makes you wonder who is being stimulated by this package? Wow that sounds ahhhhh never mind.

Back to my point about W being slightly left; the Patriot act is an act of big government (big government= left) as well as his budgets that were enormous (again a trait of the left) the only thing he did with a right lean to it was the invasion of Afghanistan. Now before you try to reply again educate yourself on what it means to be on the left and what it means to be on the right, because you have either been mislead miss-taught or just plain don't comprehend the liberal versus conservative thing

Here is a news flash for you that is old news. Europe and the rest of the world has disliked the U.S. long before George W. ever set foot in the oval office. I lived in Europe during the Clinton years and innumerable are those that could not believe that I was a "gott verdammt Ami". So if it's "America's bad name as you say then it must be Clinton's fault......... yeah not likely. The fact is that the rest of the world will dislike and disagree with the principles that this country was founded upon forever. That's fine but don't expect us to be happy to become like their failed democracies. We are a Republic we are not a steal from the people and redistribute the wealth democracy....... well until we have idiots and congressmen (sorry for the redundancy there) pass unconstitutional laws that make it so.

Millions of dollars of British tea? I was unaware that Great Britain used the dollar as a form of currency in 1773. The action of the "OG" tea party animals was symbolic in itself. Hence the costumes. It was also an escalation in events leading up to the Revolution. We are starting peacefully, both houses of Congress must listen before actions are taken.

I hate to burst your bubble traveller, but..... W. Bush was not far right he was actually slightly left, and Obama promises nothing close to balance (see his budget). As far as America's name being bad that has nothing to do with Bush people in Europe hated the U.S. before he was president. People that don't live here will always hate America. They hate us because of the opportunity here, and because of our freedom. The only way Obama will restore "America's good name" is by removing our freedoms'. As far as "Obama will let the People rule Wall Street." it sounds as if you are happy about this. If that's the case then maybe North Korea or Cuba is more suited to you economic ideals than what esteemed leader (Obama) will be able to get away with here.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : How Bad Is The Economy?

Stopping subsidies would help this, but that alone will not fix the problem. Part of the problem is the steep inflation since the 60's and what that has caused with the cost of running a farm. Rather than pay Farmers not to grow the government should pre-buy from these farmers at market value their produce. This would keep the price of grain milk and other farm produce from dropping, while providing surplus food that could be used to feed those on food stamps at a lower cost to the tax payer. Honestly food stamps is one of the few programs when used correctly and not scammed that I don't have too much issue with.

Well it's happening right now. The Senate is about to vote on Obama's budget and will most likely pass it. As we have lost control on the federal government, let's face it folks they're flyin' with no one at the controls right now, we should grab hold of our state reps and senators and lobby them to impose a 90% tax on our federal reps and senators federal income.

If a bill contains anything, including amendments and ear marks, that you know your constituents will disagree with, you must vote no on it. It does not matter what good a bill will do at this point, it's the harm that will come from it. You wake up from surgery and the surgeon says " good news we saved the pinky finger on your left hand, bad news we cut off your right arm to do it". This is how congress is and has been legislating and this is unacceptable.
