Breitbart.com : Calif. GOP lawmaker caught bragging about affairs

To be honest, I didn’t think my comment was subtle enough for someone to completely miss my point. “Hypocrisy? Has the man thoroughly denounced bangin' lobbyists before? “ He has professed to represent family values. If you cannot understand how his actions are hypocritical, well, I don’t think any sort of explanation will help. “How'd you parse what he said into that interpretation” I wasn’t talking about anything Mike said, rather, I was referring to your post. You said “At least he had the capacity for shame” which to me looks like a sad attempt to apologize for his actions. This has nothing to do with democrats, so why try to deflect this event as if it had any relevance to a partisan debate?

"...and try to deflect responsibility onto somebody else." Oh do you mean, for example, side stepping the issues of hypocrisy, the fact that he was banging a lobbyist for committee he was on, and apologizing for his actions by criticizing an opposing ideology that had nothing to do with this? Yeah, talk about trying to deflect...

Breitbart.com : Protester removed from Sotomayor hearing

I am unaware of any of my constitutional rights that have been violated any worse than, dare I say it, they have been over the last decade. Please correct me if I am missing something important, but I only see a continuation of many of the same government policies started under Bush. My right to keep and bare arms? Nothing has been passed, yet and hopefully never, in congress that has infringed on this fundamental right. If the only evidence against Sotomayor is her opinion in the 2nd circuit decision, I find such an argument lacking. While I don't agree with the decision to not look at modern incorporation framework through due process, I can't fault the court passing this matter up to the Supreme Court. There is precedent that says no direct incorporation, (Slaughterhouse Cases, which should be reconsidered anyway). A 7th circuit decision also left it to the SCOTUS. I will agree that the soundbites about "90% of traced guns in Mexico come from US" is utterly ridiculous, there hasn't been any policy action that really worries me. In fact we have a number of cases in different circuits that are very very good for the 2nd amendment. Right to privacy? Nothing new here. "Patriot" Act was probably the worst thing in the last decade. I haven't seen anything like that, yet, under obama. True, neither do I see any reversals coming from the current admin, but it is hardly surprising that those in power will give it up. Abortion rights? (See also, right to privacy) Again nothing new here. And it should be noted that It would be rather asinine to believe that either Sotomayor or Obama have anything to do with killing babies, directly or indirectly, any more so than the 8 sitting justices on the Supreme Court do, or that Bush did. All in all, I was just embarrassed for the moron who interrupted the hearing when one of the committee members was trying to get her to give a substantive answer regarding incorporation of the bill of rights. Seriously, couldn't he have saved it when they were talking about something unimportant, like the time wasted on her wise latina comment? Erik

Big Hollywood : Sotomayor: Justice Denied

My conservative friends did the right thing and ousted an obviously unqualified applicant…. I suppose you would like me to thank the Board of Review at my doctor’s office when they don’t allow my family pediatrician to perform surgery on my mother? The Supreme Court statistically reverses three fourths of all cases. In the 2nd circuit the percent of reversal is 74%. Did you know Samuel Alito had been reversed 100% of the time when he was nominated? He was obviously qualified and it should be noted that the progressives didn’t even bring up that argument. Good on them, not so much for you. Please find a more applicable measurement for judicial qualifications.

Breitbart.com : Iran protester slain after huge pro-reform rally

So sad and yet unsurprising. This is all Obama's fault. The only reason there is corruption in Iran's election is because the American people chose Obama over McCain. Obama is the worst president ever. What evidence do I have to back this claim? Just look at everyone who agrees with me. Sure we didn't vote for him and don't agree with his views, but our opinions are the most likely to be unbiased and objective. In the six months he has been in office America has seen: the economy collapse major automotive companies go bankrupt major financial businesses fail people lose their jobs and houses And now, there is election fraud in Iran, obviously in imitation of the election fraud that got Obama into office in the first place. It's just so Obvious that Obama is the Worst President Ever!!!

Breitbart.com : Sotomayor\'s stance on gun rights prompts questions

I wasn’t really surprised or offended by the opinion that Sotomayor joined in the 2nd circuit case. The 7th circuit and 2nd circuit cases did what was expected. In both cases the judges followed previous rulings by the Supreme Court (by the old standards) and did not venture out to decide how DC vs. Heller fit into the picture. The 9th circuit on the other hand did, and found in favor of incorporation. Since it looks like the 7th circuit case may make it up to the SC first, Sotomayor would be able to rule on this if she is seated. I don't really see this as a problem since she is replacing similarly situated justice. I actually am hopeful that if she does get seated, she accepts Heller as she said she would, and follows the due process approach to incorporation to its proper conclusion.

Big Hollywood : Big Hollywood Exclusive: Prejean Attorney: Pageant Head 'Bordering on Slander.'

Would anyone care if this was not a beauty pageant winner? Really, how much time has been wasted on this whole ordeal? Look, it even has me wasting time just by writing a comment on how completely useless this is. Sadly, however, the intended audience will continue to fixate on this and the many related stories that will surly continue to spring up.

I am over 21 and I find much of what Cohen has done to be pretty hilarious. I think it is good that we have people who can show us just how ridiculous culture can be at times. However, I will probably watch this movie after it gets out of theaters, thanks to the price of tickets nowadays.
