Anybody notice how all but 2 matches on Raw were tag team matches? Baron Corbin must be taking notes from Teddy Long on how to be a GM.
Why don’t we actually get storylines with the tag team division anymore? It seems like every time there’s a new tag champ on either brand, they just have a tournament to determine the new contender and the build is always so bland.
Contrary to popular belief, this is actually a pretty common thing in multiple industries, not just wrestling. I used to work in advertising sales when I first graduated college and upon my first job with a company, I had to sign a "no compete clause" stating that if I was fired or quit, I would not work for a completing organization for at least 60 (or it might've been 90) days. It's all in the contracts you sign upon being hired.
That would've been such a cool moment to actually do the Roman heel turn, especially with how hyped the crowd was. The Shield eliminates Braun from the equation. Then Roman turns and completely destroys Ambrose and Rollins. He could come out next week and talk about how he doesn't need The Shield and never has. The heat would be tremendous.
What are the chances that Alexa/Rousey main events? Wouldn't surprise me with how much the company loves Rousey, and with the whole women's revolution, it'd be huge for the women to main event Summer Slam. Rousey would definitely be winning then (as if there's any doubt in the first place).
This match is so good. This definitely should've been the main event.
They seem to pick and choose what rules to follow for triple threat matches on a match-by-match basis. It's annoying.
I get the whole "Johnny did this to himself" storyline they're going with, but that was a bit of a sucky ending to a last man standing match.
