The way the scoring system is written, if you dont behave in certain ways financially, it will harm your rating even if you do pay your bills on time. If you reduce the number of credit lines, your score declines even though it is a responsible thing to do. I also think that increasing insurance premiums based on credit scores should be outlawed. There is no empirical data that correlates poor credit and higher claims.
