The real problem is what the reveal did to the Korra community. People who had no interest in the show suddenly do because "ER MA GERD PREGRESSIVE". Not saying that the decision shouldn't have been made (haven't watched one episode of Korra, as of yet) but it's not the backlash that stings, it's the "fans" eating it from the inside.

As far as I recall, Earth Ponies are the only ones who can grow food, so that would explain why you always see them doing farmwork. How that really works, I'm unsure. It's their type of magic, though. Gave me an interesting idea for a story, where one Earth Pony lords over a town, charging them exorbitant prices for food, so they kidnap Applejack to help them. Might write that one, actually. Got some interesting ideas.

They didn't release the FULL source code for Doom 3 (if I recall, the lighting model was left out), and right after that they made the Ultimate Whatever edition in order to wring some more profits out of it. I think that's one of the primary reasons Carmack left Zenimax.

Not sure exactly what story could be plunged from the well-worn cliche to make it good for a pony episode, but I'm always open to anything. Could be good, could be terrible. MLP's generally good at avoiding that stuff, though not always (Spike at Your Service). The central conflict is up in the air.

These are some of the more interesting questions to ask. Wolf is generally good at that, and makes note that there might be some interesting fanfics to explore it. I always found Magical Mystery Cure to be the best possible concept for an episode because of the ways it toyed with the series' most interesting world-building feature. What is the nature of Destiny, after all? It's a good subject to tackle.
