Well, I completely agree... Just saying it SHOULD go both ways...either accept both fat girls and skinny girls, or neither. Accept gays and straight people, or hate everyone equally... No one should have more rights than anyone else. I hate PC police, just trying to point out how hypocritical that law is.

Let's just treat models like models, no matter how skinny or fat they are.

I'm all for girls having positive views of themselves at any weight, but this seems a bit hypocritical... If you accept bigger girls, shouldn't you also have to accept skinny girls? If the law was the opposite, banning fat girls from ads, there'd be outrage. Eating disorders are serious, but so is obesity. Maybe they should ban models with both underweight AND overweight BMIs then.

If they are arguing skinny models are perpetuating eating disorders, I can argue plus sized models are contributing to obesity and diabetes. Personally I think were taking this "positive body image" frenzy too far and forgetting that fat is just as unhealthy as underweight, and obesity kills more people in this country than anorexia.

My biggest issue is while it sounds good on paper, lower premiums for everyone... I know forcing insurance on all wont drop my monthly premium more than $5...then my insurance company will rave how they saved Americans millions, because $5 x their customers = millions... And I basically see no difference, and yet so many get punished and fined. I don't buy it. Can we vote on this? I'd vote no... Oh wait.. Voting is mostly for show, politicians decide what they want anyway. *sigh*

Not sure why you got so many TD... While I don't believe in mandatory health insurance, if it's available to you and you opt out to save money, you should be responsible for the bill!

I know plenty of people who let their (mandatory) car insurance lapse because paying for food and electricity was more important, but they all acknowledged the risks of driving..accident = huge fines. Why should health care be thought of differently?? I agree, be responsible for your choices!

As a mother with both a son and daughter, stories like this are hard to read. Condolences, but that doesn't seem to cut it.. I basically have no words..

There are more atrocities going on in Africa than just this. Updating your Facebook status is not going to help anything. Donating money might even make it worse. Read facts before you get emotionally swept away by propaganda.

Glad someone called the cops, and glad the cops did their job, but.. Couldn't they have just cited them with something resulting in a fine instead of hauling them off to jail? Must have been an awkward trip in the back of the cop car.. for the cop, if they went together..
