I know that what I write will be taken negatively by the conservatives and republicans on this forum.

I speak only for myself with regard to Sarah Palin. I find her a frightening apparition of contradiction and uninformed ignorance. As you can guess, I have many issues with how she thinks. Her ego appears to get in the way of making the right decisions. Inciting unfounded racial and religious tensions during the campaign was wrong. Unfortunately, Senator McCain (who I respect) was put in the poor position to have to defend President-Elect Obama in order to quell the rising dangerous negativity that his running mate was causing.

Typically, her tactics of using fear and negative emotion was her best weapon. Unfortunately, this was extremely effective, and easily catered to that mentality.

Senator McCain’s decision of Sarah Palin was a major reason why I would not place my vote for his ticket. This country is in need of an intelligent individual whose ego is not in the way of listening to experienced counsel. I for one, am desperately hoping that our economy turns and that President-Elect Obama will succeed famously. Partisanship aside, I am a citizen of this country first. My concerns are not for which party is ruling, but for the right person in charge of these difficult times.

I can't wait until this is over and we can move forward.

The article had a statement from former Alaska Governor Tony Knowles as: "he never charged the state for his three children's commercial flights".

I don't think that many of you understand that this report is about Palin spending Alaska taxpayer money to fly her family around the country . Not about how inexpensive any one airfare or hotel is. This family travel should have come out of her own personal account.

Yes, a lady is in politics is hard to find... for a reason. Powerhouse women, such as those you mentioned have less time to read Vogue and Cosmo to keep up with the latest trend. They are completely involved in their law or medical practice, running a corporation, or, in this case running a country. Personally, this is where I would want to have their attention focused.

Your comment does not make sense in reference to mine, as I am addressing Rossi's stand on the environment. No doubt that you are making sure that you, representing Mr. Rossi, will be sure to get the last word in all of the comments. I will expect something forthcoming that will prove my point.

I met Dino Rossi a few years ago when he was running for state senate. We discussed his interest in local businesses (I own a business - a green one), and when I brought up our concerns about the environment, he literally said NOTHING.
Not a thing. This man is not and will not be a friend to our valuable natural resources, and his relationship with the Master Builders Association is not a surprise. This should be a red flag to anyone who loves what we have and wants to preserve it for future generations.
