Andrew Breitbart can never be replaced. But we can all uphold the things he fought for and stand as one and say: "We are Andrew Breitbart!"

Thank you for your sweet words about Andrew, especially his family. My thoughts return to them constantly and I can't imagine what the loss must be for them. By all accounts, Andrew loved his children fiercely, and I pray for their comfort.

Part 2 Watching happy, pregnant women pulling cushy 0800 to 1600 desk duty while the rest of us spent extra nights away from home or worked overtime shifts negatively affected unit morale, but we did what we had to do to complete the mission. In fact, these women would often encounter medical complications, and would get to stay home for months before they even gave birth, so we had to cover the desk jobs, too. A few actually admitted they got pregnant to avoid an overseas or remote assignment. If we were that upset during peacetime, I can't imagine how it must feel during these past years of active conflict. I don't remember any of these pregnant women expressing any empathy for ME when I was doing their job for them. I chose not to start a family until I'd been out of the service for over a year. So by the superior logic of the powers that be, since I had never been pregnant before, should I have had to don a pregnancy suit so that I could empathize with my "sisters in arms"? Ridiculous. Simply ridiculous.

Big Peace : Army Commences Pregnancy Training... for Men

Part 1 I entered the military in 1979, soon after the first big wave of women coming into the service. This was "peacetime", and commanders were pretty much told they would "make it work". It always seemed to me that they made poor decisions about what the policy would be with pregnant members, but because it was peacetime, bad ways of dealing with the situation became the accepted ways. Many of my fellow female colleagues, as well as the men, resented all the extra duty we had to pull for those who were pregnant. We were an operational unit, and a woman was pulled from duty as soon as she became pregnant because of exposure to hazardous materials. She would get office duty, but still be carried on the roster without a replacement to her unit. She returned when her maternity leave was over. Then she faced several weeks, or more, of retraining before she could go back in the field. We all had to cover for her until she was back up to speed.

HillBuzz.org : The Best Reason to Do Your Taxes This Week: File Before Your State Runs Out of Refund Money

Like you, "I also try to have as little as possible in a refund, or perhaps owe a little." But I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I am too intimidated by the tax code to file my own tax returns. I have always been reasonably competent in my math courses, and even passed Calculus I with a B, but the IRS scares the you-know-what out of me! I don't mind paying a preparation fee in exchange for the peace of mind, but I kinda wish I felt more secure in my own abilities.

Thanks for taking the time to pass on all those great directions! I have several family recipes that I make that I have to "eyeball" until they "look right", or "add in" until they "taste right", so your recipe made perfect sense to me.
