/Film : Just What We Need... Even MORE Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Posters

So they made a poster for every little plot point in the movie? Some of those look pretty terrible.

/Film : What If Critics Weren't Allowed to See the End of a Film?

Geez, that's freaky. I think this is stupid. It ruins the point of reviewing the movie as a whole. Might as well just hold the movie from the critics entirely, it wouldn't be the first time. Something tells me that Fox is pissed that they haven't come up with this before.

/Film : The Up Subplot That Didn't Make The Cut

That and the, you know, talking dogs right? I'm glad they dropped the subplot. Just sounds like excess weight. The fountain of youth idea would just detract from the movie's main theme.

I think old time Transformers fans are the best of the bunch. 'We need more character development between Soundwave and Whoevermatron!, not this stupid action!' They're cars...that turn into robots. The premise is stupid off the bat.

I'm not fond of the source material, but Tobey really needs to sit down and get one of these projects off the ground. He's been attached to a few scripts already, with a lot crashing and burning in the end.

Alright, now everybody's thinking 'You know, Shymalan isn't so bad'. The trailer might appeal to everyone. Set reports will sound promising. Then the movie will come out, people will lash out and all of a sudden Shymalan isn't such a swell guy. Don't worry M. Night, McG knows exactly how to deal with this.

/Film : The Buzz: Terminator Salvation is Horrible OR a Solid Summer Action Movie

I'll admit, I haven't seen T3 in a while, but I seriously don't remember why people hate the movie so much. It was pretty harmless and worked well as an action movie. It's no T2, but it wasn't as far off as people make it out to be. As for Terminator Salvation, I'm on the line. I'm leaning towards not really enjoying it. The action scenes were cool and the special effects impressive, but the character actions are just so idiotic. There's an escape sequence where a character literally blows up the resistance's defense for a stupid cause. Also, how's about the world's first robot-on-woman love scene? The long takes were cool but for the most part, unnecessary. Take for example a scene smack in the beginning where John Connor takes a helicopter after having his squad blown up. In one take, the helicopter goes up, is attacked, and brought down. The scene is so intense but it adds up to nothing. It just feels like it could have been left on the cutting room floor, which brings me to my next point. Jesus, this has to be the worst hack job I've seen in a while. THE most noticeable deleted scene in the history of cinema is where Moon Bloodgood was supposed to show her goods. There's such a jarring jump from one moment to the next - hell, even the weather changes suddenly - that it throws off the sequence. It's so disgustingly obvious that I felt it as a slap in the face. I have a few more complaints but I'll leave it at that. I will give the film some praise though - the harvester sequence was pretty sweet(albeit a remake of a similar scene in War of the Worlds '05) and watching Christian Bale fight a motorcycle was amusing.
