<title>Michael Hyatt Blog : What It Takes to Become a Master Writer</title>
<link>http://michaelhyatt.com/2009/10/what-it-takes-to-become-a-master-writer.html#IDComment38957005</link>
<description>An excellent post from one of the few master writers I&amp;#039;ve had the privilege to know during my many years in this industry. May I add a hearty amen to everything you&amp;#039;ve said, Mary! When I think of all the writing I did for free (yes, in the pre-computer days!), and how excited I was when I landed my first weekly newspaper column (for $2.50 per column!), I smile at the realization of how far God has brought me...and how very far I still have to go. </description>

<title>Michael Hyatt Blog : Should You Consider Self-Publishing?</title>
<link>http://michaelhyatt.com/2009/10/should-you-consider-self-publishing.html#IDComment38713014</link>
<description>As a multi-published author who has been in this business for more than two decades, I can speak first-hand on this topic. The vast majority of my 30 books have been traditionally published (two with Thomas Nelson), but I also chose to self-publish my train-of-thought writer&amp;#039;s workbook, as I teach on the topic at writers&amp;#039; conferences all over the country and therefore have a built-in platform to sell the books. I&amp;#039;m thrilled to see TN offering this very viable option to talented authors who might not otherwise see their books in print. Congratulations!
