all you are doing here is PROVING MY POINT. YES, headers have been UNDERUTILIZED under PEP. we have had VERY few of them (most coming from CORNERKICKS to PUYOL). at the same time MORE and MORE of our goals are coming from one source: MESSI. we need to DIVERSIFY to PROTECT our chances against INURY, DROP in FORM, etc. it is not SMART to expect MESSI to continue to score 60+ GOALS every season. so what should we DO? FIND ANOTHER WAY TO SCORE GOALS. what is our team best equpiied to DO?: HEADERS. it is SIMPLE. especially if we have players like KEITA who can play DM and come FORWARD to head or play LW and perfectly CROSS the ball into the box for a HEADER. 1. dont you DENEGRATE ME, you !@#!!!!! i have already DONE my homework (advanced statistical analysis), YOU are the one who is UNPREPARED. so here is YOUR homework: 2. prepare a DETAILED STATISTICAL ANALYSIS of the PORPORTION of MISSED headers to ATTEMPTED headers for THIS YEAR in LA LIGA, 2 years ago in CL, and last year in CDR (why bother with compiling STATISTICS for the competitions we already won!!!). then TAKE THAT PORPORTION, and see how many HEADERS we woudl have to make in IMPORTANT POINT DECIDING MATCHES to convert the NUMBER of HEADERS we would need to SCORE enough to WIN THE MATCH. then we will COMPARE our numbers and see what we have. HEADERS are still KEY. since the loss to OSASUNA there have been NO in LA LIGA games OR CL GAMES, and only ONE header ASSIST (MESSI to XAVI vs GRANADA).... AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM. we are TOO reliant on MESSI to score goales, and we NEED TO START SCORING in other ways. HEADERS are a GOOD WAY for this team to SCORE. the REAL question is: if we HAD averaged roughly 8 headers per GAME for the entire SEASON, what place would we be IN????? your point of view is FLAWED, because my RESEARCH is about how many WINS we would have over the ENTIRE SEASON (not just last 13 games) if we CONVERTED OUR HEADERS. i took the AVERAGE number of successful HEADERS per HEADER and multiplied it out to EACH GAME to figure out HOW MANY MORE headers we would need to average PER GAME to give us enough POINTS to be 1st in LA LIGA.... that number is ROUGHLY 8. There is NOTHING "NOVELTY" about these HARD STATISICS. you cannot DENY THEM. ofc there are OTHERWAYS to score goals, but I THINK that HEADERS are best SUITED for this TEAM.
