What death penality, they die of old age and the sentence is never carried out. In China its prision cell to execution. Its not a complete deterrant to crime but no repeat offenders.
It's not their actions that get us down but our courts that are a joke. The punishment never fits the crime, thats why there is no end to crime, and crime has become a way of life in this country. Two days in jail says it all.
What makes terrerosts winners is, if we under react. We just had a terrorist who tried to blow up an airliner a few weeks ago. The pilot was interested in the content of the note and had no choice but to take it serious. There is zero tolerance for doubt about the passanger's intentions, when lives may be at risk. I would rather have the pilot overact and be wrong, than under react and have all the passengers perish.
The court system is not interested in right or wrong but how you can manipulate the wording of the law, find loopholes and escape accountability. There is no common sense in the law, its a chess game and the better chess player wins. As a lawyer you were wrong about the bar stool and again wrong about jury duty, you as a lawyer should know better than to make assumptions, without facts. I have not made any sly remarks regarding your character. You may not agree with my view so attack my preception of the legal system, not my character. All said and done, the lawyers will plea that he was served a drink on the airplane which hindered his judgment and the airlines are responsible for his actions, they must pay restitution to him for missing his vacation. This is where our legal system is heading.
Uncontrolled and poorly supervised welfare will bring this great nation to its knees. We need to curb generation after generation after generation on welfare. The solution of past generations was work or starve, it worked.

Wouldn't it be wrong for the police to assume it was his insulin pump, he could be delivering it to a friend, or someone he knows left it in the car. We can't jump to conclusions , if he was treated with insulin and it was found out that it wasn't his, they would have killed a health person. A drunk or diabetic in distress are both incoherent and combative. They could't determine which untill he was finally restrained. While being a diabetic is unfortunate, it can not justify anyones actions. For your own edification, in Mexico you can write your own prescription. Considering the fine , insurance increase and hassel with a DUI , THE PUMP COST IS VERY CHEAP.
