The film may have been produced in the UK, but here in the UK it was distributed by Pathe who also produced it and stood by the directors original artistic choices . In America it was distributed by Lionsgate who's idea it was to change the ending to a happier one. I didn't hate the trailer, or think it looked like a Pixar movie, like alot of people on other sites, though I wasn't blown away and my eyeballs are intact. I maybe just haven't warmed to the look of the Navi, there is something goofy about them and the Pandora planet looks like a re-imagining of Ferngully the Last Rain Forest. I did however, have no problem with the visual look of the film and thought some of the animation looked superb especially the female Navi. My expectations have been lowered but thats probably a good thing.
