I get that you want Ronda on your flagship show, but I was expecting Shane to come out and mention Wrestlemania 31. The way this segment played out makes absolutely no sense. How is Angle going to keep his job when even an idiot COO would fire him for what he did? With Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, Paige and Asuka already on the roster, wouldn’t Ronda be of more use on Smackdown who really only has Charlotte and Becky Lynch? This could’ve set off a woman’s match between Raw and Smackdown to get those women on the card too. Just the whole segment felt kinda dumb IMO.
So nobody is going to talk about that absolutely ridiculous sell job Reigns does on the whip into the stairs? He literally just shoves them aside. His head comes nowhere close.
Here's what I would do, as I'd love to see a Hardcore tournament also....
Start a new show on the WWE Network (like 205 Live, but ONLY on the WWE Network).
Allow Raw or Smackdown wrestlers to go to the show at any time.
Do not air ANY matches for the show on free TV, keep it WWE-Exclusive.
Allow title matches on all WWE PPVs.
Keeping it WWE Network exclusive allows them to skirt advertisers and keep it away from a TV-PG rating allowing it to be a TV-MA format and truly "hardcore". Allowing Raw AND Smackdown wrestlers to cross over at will, will give reason to advertise the show on those shows as well as allow for "crossover" matches. (IE Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens) without having to do yearly reshufflings.
Someone should google "Mae Young Classic"
According to the autopsy, Benoit would've dropped dead within 10 months had he not killed himself. I've been very outspoken about Benoit and still think the WWE needs to push the fact that Benoit was suffering from a disease (CTE) that had not really been discovered yet. It shouldn't excuse his actions mind you, but they should acknowledge who he was and the contributions his actions provided to the industry in regards to its treatment of concussions. They can bring up Daniel Bryan and how his early retirement may have saved his life. I really think they should do at least a WWE Network special on the event and don't shy away from what happened but use it to at least show that some good has come from this horrific event.
I'd give her my small package. Wait.... damnit!!!
licensing rights. If they go by their birth names, they can't copyright it.
I think the WWE needs to realize todays crowd is more like UFC than the 80's WWF. Fans today are going to cheer ability. That's why as you said, AJ Styles and Kevin Owens are generally cheered while less talented acts who get pushes like Roman Reigns are generally booed. It's like when they had Daniel Bryan working as a heel and the crowd cheered him anyway. Fans are going to cheer talent and boo 3 move acts like Reigns every day of the week. The sooner they realize this, the better their product will be. They need to understand that when they're pushing someone as a babyface and they are getting booed out of the arena (and turning the heels they're working with into the babyfaces at the same time), it's because they are not connecting with the audience.
But when you have a guy in THREE MAIN EVENT MATCHES that don't total 10 minutes of ring time.... something is wrong.
It's the story they were telling. You can't have a guy with an injured leg who doctors won't clear flying around the ring as if nothing is wrong.
