Shopping Cart Disco : Re: Hoorenbeek Contest

I just don't understand what his plan is. He's bashing his own customer base, whether those who entered bought clothes for the contest or just had them. That's just plain dumb. Anyway, I was a customer an I am a blogger. I'll wear what I've bought as the occasion suits. I paid for it, it doesn't hurt him for me to trash it. But I'll never blog their clothes again or buy anything else from them. I used to love their shoes, but there are other designers who are better (Kalnins and House of Curios come to mind) who don't charge nearly as much, include color change scripts so you have many options, and don't defraud and insult their customers.

Shopping Cart Disco : Hoorenbeek Responds

What does he want, a tampon award for not cheating and giving the award to one of his friends? It's a little sad that that option was on the table. And that while defending his jury, he's implying they'd go along with such a scheme. But whatever. What's done is done. Moving forward, does he have a hard end date? Does he have plans to do another push to get people to enter his contest now? A lot of people in contests don't submit until the last minute, needing that deadline to follow through. Real life gets the best of all of us sometimes. I think people would've been much more sympathetic if they'd extended the contest a week or two to get more entries in, but at this point, it doesn't look like there's ever an end.

Shopping Cart Disco : Oh Second Life, I Have Betrayed Thee

I used to play Sims a lot. I found the hack that allowed you to knock up men, so I'd just repeatedly knock up other male characters, watching them waddle around all pregnant. This led to a lot of unwanted Sim children that I'd wall up or leave in the bottom of pools because I didn't want to deal with them. You had to really go to great pains to kill the pixel children, because there was a sim social worker who would retrieve the baby unless you walled them off. I also really enjoyed moving my own characters into the game character's houses and then killing them off one-by-one. Think about that the next time you skip out on Mixtape. Muhaha. haha. ha.

Shopping Cart Disco : Styleaholic: 09.17.2009

You're not seeing people being serious assholes here (though I admit that being an internet asshole is SRS BSNS) but rather a public tired of the skankiness promoted as fashion. She likes it, that's her opinion. Fair enough. I think she looks tacky. There is a comment function here, so one can only assume that comments are welcomed. I see some of the other looks she's created under the "You might also like" section and some of them are cute. I particularly like 8/27. But the skelt needs to die. And I really hate the socks with those wedges. The hoops are too much. I love the flower in her hair. It's a pretty detail that would look better with a more sophisticated look. I think she can do better than this. I think she has done better than this. Backing her up when she's being tasteless isn't helping her.

Shopping Cart Disco : Rebel Hope & RH Engle's 3 Woodshed Sims Copied

Actually, what you said was, "If not, the risk is on your shoulders, and you can't expect us to lend you a new shoulder to cry on when your sims are harvested." Advocating would be saying, "Have you considered setting your sims to payment verified? That might prevent future theft." What you're doing is giving an ultimatum. "Either you do what I advise you or stop whining." What makes it worse is what you're "simply advocating" isn't a viable solution.

Shopping Cart Disco : Rebel Hope & RH Engle's 3 Woodshed Sims Copied

You have no clue what you're talking about. Setting aside the fact that somehow you believe that it's harder to get CC numbers than hack copies of sims, or that there is nearly the interest in copying sims as there is in stealing credit card numbers, it just plain doesn't make sense to say that somehow the penalty is what keeps people from doing it.
