I especially like the one about being pure at heart.

I still see science as a whole to be a man-made explanation for everything. And with men (and women) are flaws and limits, thus further limitation on his inferences. This makes science ever so flawed. It is not perfect and has made several mistakes as we continue to build our knowledge.

Science is ever changing to keep up with its own fallacies. Some of which are Newton's laws which only pertain to our immediate world and not to the very big or small. We still know little of several realms in our own world: the deep ocean, the human mind, the mind-body-spirit connection, progressive society, matter make-up, disease processes, and several others.

It seems to me that the more knowledge one comprises the more complex and messier it appears But, when you can see the difference between man and God it proves to simplify things. God is perfect and we are not. He made us that way and anything else we create will be imperfect. Evolution is still a theory but can be considered a religion at times because of the implications it makes. What should be understood is that this theory is our production and whether God allowed it to happen or not is irrelevant in concordance with the Bible. The Bible too, was inspired by God but written by man for man. Which means we can misunderstand what is being put forward in our own doctorine.

If God wanted things to be put simply and plainly we would have little use for him, nor would we be able to see his greatness.

In addition, science is largely built within a realm that observation and measurement are the foundation. Fortunately, faith is in a completely different realm. Its more a level of consciousness and cannot be measured but only experienced. To see them as opposites and feudal is unsound.

Its like saying life and death are opposites. They are not because they exist in two distinctly different realms. Birth and death would be opposites and life--well, that's a long story.

This is something Neil Postman wrote about over twenty years ago. He was scared that even our school systems would take a turn and focus solely on entertainment to win attention. This sends a horrible message to young minds teaching them that if its not enteraining or socially stimulating then its not needed. I'm pretty sure mathematics, science, and English aren't socially stimulating. Say good bye to our building blocks for knowledge.

Very much so. Sorry for the bad news.

Remember WWJD. That was a great time in my life. It brings back memories of church camp when my buddies and I would be making trouble to pass time and a counselor would come in and say "WWJD." And I would reply, "I'm pretty sure Jesus is the coolest and would be right in the middle of what we're doing." Ahead of my time, I used symbols for my own personal agenda. We should bring back the bracelets.

This reminds me of a friend of mine who wears an alpha/omega ring but upside down so he can see it all the time instead of displaying it for others. Makes perfect sense.

Sounds great, but I would like to mix it up a bit every now and then. Sounds like a good Saturday. What is this coffee you speak of? When I lived in CA I became addicted to Trader Joes coffee and now everything tastes like mud.
