Breitbart.com : \'King\'s Speech\' gets double Oscars boost

Saw The King's Speech last night. Theater was full, and broke out into applause at the end. Best film I've seen in years. What a refreshing change from the blood-spattering, car chasing, giant-explosioning dreck that we've been forced to watch.

I would suggest not responding to articles until you have matured a few more years in your room in the basement of your mom's house. You are embarrassing yourself.

Big Hollywood : Don't Be Too Quick to Judge Abortion Episode of 'Friday Night Lights'

How touching that the topic of abortion was handled with sensitivity and dignity. Too bad the unborn baby didn't have a say in the decision. Tell you what. I'd be happy with the sensitivity and dignity of the episode if the script were slightly re-written. Rather than say she'd had an abortion, she would instead say, "I decided to kill my unborn child." After all, we're all for honesty, aren't we? Too bad the show didn't explore the decision to carry the baby to term, then deliver it to a couple desperately eager to have a newborn of their own. But maybe that outcome wouldn't have shown enough honesty and dignity, in the writer's opinion.

Breitbart.com : State declares Obama birth certificate real, again

Not so. The certificate he has revealed has far less information than the original. Why not release the original and shut everyone up?

Big Hollywood : Gold Star Mother: Debbie Lee

In these times I get so depressed I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I feel as though I'm living in a parallel universe, watching the insanity in Washington and wondering when this nightmare will end. Your message brings me back down to earth, to a culture I know and love. God bless, and know that your son will always be a hero in the hearts of many.

Big Hollywood : Ed McMahon - When Late Night Television Was Young

I'm 59 now. When I was much younger I watched Carson often. He was usually pretty entertaining, even with his dumb skits such as when he puts on the enormous hat and Ed reads the answers to questions sealed in envelopes. Didn't matter who was in the White House--Carson was always a gentleman, never told offensive or demeaning jokes. What a contrast with Letterman. Anyway, Ed, you did your job with consistency and grace. We won't forget you.

Big Hollywood : Adopt!

Andrew, 19 years ago my wife and I discovered we both had fertility issues that could be solved with expensive surgery. We instead chose to adopt, saving the money for college expenses one day. Back then in our city you could adopt lots of hispanic or black infants, but getting one with your genetic heritage (Irish, Norwegian) was near-impossible. One morning we were contacted by a relative who knew of a woman 7 1/2 months pregnant who was desperate for an abortion--in fact, she had been met outside an abortion clinic. The woman thankfully agreed to reconsider. We corresponded, had dinner together, and a bit over a month later we took home the newborn from the hospital. This September she will be a sophomore in college, using the money we'd set aside years earlier. I listen to the pro-abortion screamers and just have to sadly shake my head. They just don't get it. I feel as though I'm living in a parallel universe. God help us all.
