Our annual 'Nanny Finger-Shaking'.
Oregon-sanctioned fireworks will soon be made of LEDs and if Mr. Wallace had things his way, matches, lighters, and the rubbing of two sticks together would be outlawed.

While they'd have plenty to cry about, if our 'Founding Fathers' could see us at this pass, they'd laugh till they did have tears streaming down their face. In Oregon, the 4th of July is pretty neutered.

He is on suicide watch because he's already done time for being a freek, and knows what's coming to him.
There is no fixing a sex offender. Supervision is a temporary means of trying to keep them from biting anyone for a while. Since our society has deemed lobotomies unethical, what options are we left with besides euthanasia?

We hand power to politicians to invent and implement laws. In this case, laws to protect the welfare of our general public. For several decades, there has been a supposedly necessary balancing act to walk a line between the needs of the Many and the rights of the One. When that One is an individual with a terminal flaw that will undoubtedly harm the Many, their rights are no longer the prime concern. At least, that's how a legitimate societal priority would look if our's was one that made sense.
I look at it in a far simpler way: removing a predatory threat to one's own kind is no bad thing. Why muddy the issue with philosophical banter?

I'd like to know which bank she's fighting with. I have a guess, but it seems kind of 'funny' that the story had this much detail except for who the lender was.

Oh, if you REALLY want to be infuriated, try this: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_162-57343240-10...

"365 days after Terry was shot dead, his family still has few answers. The U.S. government continues to keep many details secret and - several weeks ago - moved to seal the case against Terry's alleged attackers, shielding all details from the public and Terry's bereaved family."

So, in order to protect their own slimey keysters, these politicians are hiding Brian Terry's killers so that by avoiding prosecution, there's no recorded statement against Holder & Co.
Thanks for nothing, Obongo.
(Given that Terry was a fellow Marine, I wonder how quick the White House guards would be to stop me from spitting in that bum president's face?)

I don't disagree...but I'm starting to take the Richard Pryor approach here: "D--None Of the Above!"

I couldn't agree more.
One key difference (though it makes no difference to those who lost their lives) is that THIS assassination took place on American soil.
These scum were breaking our borders and coming here to commit more crimes. They gunned Mr. Terry down when he attempted to force them to halt and surrender. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_162-57343240-10...

Any Commander-In-Chief who betrays his troops by hiding dishonorable actions behind a paper shield is a traitor, deserving neither respect nor deference...and there have been several such men who have sat in the Oval Office and failed there.
Partisan bickering has no place in pursuing justice for Brian Terry. If Obama were to reverse his course here and prosecute those who allowed this disgrace, I'd be the first to give him credit.
But I'm not holding my breath!

"Coming clean" and "hiding behind executive privilege" appear to be words that are coming back to haunt Obama.

Watching that clip from 5 years ago reminded me of how much gray he's gotten in his hair...I hope that Brian Terry's ghost keeps him up at night, every night (since his buddy Holder murdered him by his belligerent stupidity).

It makes perfect sense to me. A Federal Agent lost his life as the result of Eric Holder's stupidity in pushing an outlawed and condemned directive through.
Because a government employee was murdered, there is a demand for answers.
Those answers would hideously embarrass and permanently discredit Holder.
Rather than make one of his favorite back-scratchers take accountability for what he did, Obama chooses to show his own yellow streak by covering it up.

Please scroll down to see my comment below. I am outraged at what was done to a heroic American named Brian Terry, and as soon as KATU gets done screwing around with "moderating" this article, I'm giving a clear explanation as to why and who the villains here are.

I would respectfully suggest that having people with guns on the course supersedes dogs, as problems go. Also, they were described as being in their 20's, so while some 50+ folks might consider them to be kids, they are legally adults.

It looks like you managed to miss my point that the dog wasn't charging, or harassing, or attacking anyone...even after the fracas began. So, no, Mr. James did not threaten the four men with his dog.
If you're seeing something in the article that supports your point, please, by all means post a quote (I can admit if I'm wrong). But I read it twice, and what I'm seeing is, four jerks came onto the course, were goofing around, and when Mr. James said something to them about obstructing his play, they got an attitude and aimed a BB gun at his dog. Mr. James admittedly rammed the individual with the gun with his golf cart. Doing so knocked him out of range of harming the dog, and also served to separate him from the gun. At that point, the Hispanic party fled from the course.

Now, if you had your choice, who's shoes would you rather be in when the police showed up?
Me? I'd be a very polite Mr. James, who helps the officers take the gun in as evidence and dust it for prints. (I'd also stop off at Gartner's Meats to get Bishop a RibEye for dinner!)

Forget Obama and Holder, and Issa for a minute. They're not fractionally as important as the man who got a shameful, once sentence mention in this article: Brian Terry, the Border Patrol agent who was murdered by criminals who were enabled by Holder's decisions.
National Command Authority may have the option to exercise this privilege, but in doing so, he's dishonoring the loyalty of a man who gave his life to protect our country by protecting a coward.
