Are you saying that this site is for conservatives or that there just happens to be more conservative here than anyone else?

Third, conservatives believe in what may be called the principle of prescription.
Fourth, conservatives are guided by their principle of prudence.
Fifth, conservatives pay attention to the principle of variety.
Sixth, conservatives are chastened by their principle of imperfectability.
Seventh, conservatives are persuaded that freedom and property are closely linked.
Eighth, conservatives uphold voluntary community, quite as they oppose involuntary collectivism.
Ninth, the conservative perceives the need for prudent restraints upon power and upon human passions.
Tenth, the thinking conservative understands that permanence and change must be recognized and reconciled in a vigorous society.

You are absolutely right, no president has the power to reduce the size of the government. Only congress can do that.
The question is what do we the people do about it?

Let me clear up the misunderstanding that I'm brand new here. I have been here about a week and have made a few post. One post got over 30 responses and I thought it was a good healthy debate. The reason I asked is because I was attacked by one member who called me a liberal plant. I don't care about the voting thing. If you don't like what I'm saying then give me a thumbs down or better yet respond with a civilized debate about the subject. Who knows you my change my point of view. Think about how stupid or paranoid someone has to be if they are worried about a liberal spy coming in here to get information about or to sabotage the people in here and their ideas. If I can't make a comment without being attacked then this place is a lie.

I love his comment about MSNBC should not cover hateful speech from Imus. Then they have no problems with Garafolo"s comments on the tea parties.

It's too late. The flu is already here. I think it was 8 confirmed cases, which means more cases incubating. If we are lucky it will go the way the avian flu did a few years ago.

I remember something on FoxNews about this Fema Camp thing and they said it was bogus. However if it where true>>>> is anyone here old enough to remember Kent State, late 1960s, Anti-Veit Nam war rallies. Don't believe for one minute that a ground troop won't fire if ordered too. Those at Kent state were National Guard but just as deadly. Just food for thought.

I have only been here for about a week. I have posted and replied. My rep.# is stuck on zero. As far as I'm concern it can stay there. I'm here to figure out what can be done to improve our country so my kids and grandkids won't have to suffer for our mistakes.

The voting thing doesn't bother me. It is the personal attacks and name calling because someone doesn't agree. There are a few here that I think are actually dangerous.
