Maybe the numbers look like that, but the reality is people are not poles, trees, etc.. the realiy is now law will protect you. bikes and cars simply do not mix.
A very sad event..... As the data comes in it's clear bikes and cars/trucks don't mix, regardless of the law and all the 'feel good' that goes with it. Some times you have to stop a bad idea, even if it started out as a good one.

Notice in his KATU News interview last night he is going to pick on non-union workers for salary freezes. They are the easiest targets. I did not hear him say he was going to cut/freeze his salary..

These guys have really lost focus.. What does shutting down the court system of the city have to do with Corp greed.? Seems like they are trying to make it them against the police and city.. Makes no sense. Costs those of us with jobs more tax money to baby sit them..
Sounds like the arbitrator thinks Adams and the Chief screwed up.. Now the both of them are tying to cover their rears by saying their emotional beliefs are the right way to go.. It is too bad the incident happened, but sounds like the guy did what he was trained to do by the police bureau. If that's the case then he can not be blamed for what happened. You can blame Adams and the Cheif for their lack of leadership. Maybe the next Mayor will do better..
I think during the incident they felt family members could have been in danger. If he was acting crazy and they don't take him out, and he kills someone else, then the cops get blamed for that. They can't win..
