Big Government : Monday Open Thread: Freedom Edition

One small leap me....one great leap for Liberty! __ I think I hear him say in this photo. Risking one's own life for freedom? .... Wow! You would think this freedom thing might be something worth cherishing, seeing that so many would go so far as to Die for it. Reminds me of something I remember reading as a young schoolboy "Give me Liberty or give me Death" or something like that. Yeah that was it, and it was some guy wearing a white wig in a church in Richmond VA. I think. Hmmmm maybe someone should tell our Glorious Leader about this freedom thing, it seems really important to a lot of people.

Big Government : Halloween Open Thread

I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free. He that lives upon hope will die fasting. Hope and fear are inseparable. Hope is a waking dream. Hope? Oh yes, there is hope — infinite hope. But not for us. Hope — it is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength and your greatest weakness. Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning. Albert Einstein

Big Government : Tea Party Mandate: Take Back The Party!

I don't mean to sell it short, its just at my age 2010 is tomorrow, and that's a lot of ground to cover in such a short time especially with all the resistance within the party itself. I don't see big victories in 010 but I hope to, and I am sure regardless it will open eyes and rattle nerves for 012.
thanks for the comment.

we may not gain big ground in 2010 but we will make a very big statement that the RNC cannot ignore if we just stick to our GUNS. don't let up, don't back down!

Big Government : Sunday Open Thread

OMG do I feel old! So just before I was born this technology came out and a bunch of Russians chucked a dog into space. Wow! now we have at the speed of light, a vast amount of the worlds knowledge in the palm of our hand and have reached so far into space and technology, star trek doesn't seem so farfetched. (ok that's a stretch)(or is it?) If I could only imagine what my grand-kids will say at this point in their lives.
