I swear these semi drivers act like they are driving cars. More times than I care to count, I'll be right about to pass a two semis, when all of a sudden the rear truck juts out in front of me! FIVE seconds and I would be past. but it happens SO pften, I sometimes feel that these folks sit around the trucks stops and plan how to annoy the rest of us. Of course this does NOT apply to all truckers. I firmly believe that the trucking industry is crucial and that our economy depends on it. But they should have enough integrity not to rely of that fact. They DO NOT own the road. Think of all the Pro HOF's in the country. Canton. Cooperstown. Etc. They have permanent homes. No one would ever think of changing them. They have become destinations. I have never been to the HOF and I have lived here 15 years. It's not on my radar. That said, name me another COLLEGE town with as storied a history as Notre Dame? Miami? Los Angeles? Gainesville? South Bend has improved it's downtown since the introduction of the HOF. Coveleski Stadium is just not enough to bring in the amount of visitors year round. Good for the summer, but how many fans really visit downtown during Silverhawks games? During the fall when Notre Dame plays, the HOF is thriving. All they need to do is find some way to increase attendance during the rest of the year and it'll be fine.
