Err... não. Isso é uma simplificação grosseira que só faz desserviço a qualquer um tentando entender a função desses sites. O Google é uma ferramenta que cataloga o dados de websites. Mesmo que tente responder diretamente algumas perguntas mais simples ("2 - 1 =", "Clima em São Paulo", "Converter 200 reais em dolar"), essa não é a função dele. É apenas responder se a string de texto X pode ser encontrada em algum site na Internet, e qual seria o melhor site com essa string. Só isso. O Wolfram Alpha não faz isso. De forma alguma. Este site serve *exclusivamente* para responder perguntas como aquelas iniciais. Perguntas diretas e que possuem uma forma científica e analítica de responder. Como exemplo, se você procurar por "CARS" no Google, ele vai endereços de companhias que vendem carros, links para montadoras, e informações sobre os filmes da Pixar. Se você procurar por "CARS" no Wolfram Alpha, ele vai resultar em uma análise das dimensões médias de um automóvel. Não existe nenhuma relação com a "velocidade" em que você chega na informação, e sim com o *tipo* de informação que cada um apresenta. São duas ferramentas completamente diferentes, para usos completamente diferentes. Compara-las é tolice.

Ah, por favor, não façam a mesma campanha de desinformação que seu parceiro gringo (Gizmodo US) está fazendo com esse assunto. "Pois bem, caso você não aceite a nova política de unificação de dados do Google, sabe qual é sua opção? Não usar os serviços." Não, você tem outra opção: desligue as preferências que usam essas funções, e parem de neuroses desnecessárias. A maior reclamação dos conspiradores é o uso de suas informações pessoais para a geração de propagandas personalizadas. Solução: opt-out. Basta um clique no botão com esse nome nas suas configurações gerais do Google Profile (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/ para os preguiçosos). Não quer o Google monitorando sua localização: desligue o Google Latitude. Não quer seus dados pessoais no banco de dados: não preencha os campos no Google Profile. Não quer que saibam o que você está pensando: pare de digitar seus pensamentos na Internet publicamente! Agora, vai achar que o Google deixou pra trás o mantra "don't be evil" porque exibem resultados baseados nas minhas preferencias pessoais? Já passou pela cabeça que isso pode ser EXATAMENTE o que as pessoas querem? Se algum amigo meu indicou um site como boa resposta para uma questão, eu QUERO que ele tenha preferência nos resultados de busca. Eu quero que meus dados sejam unificados entre os serviços para que eles sejam melhor integrados, porque eu não quero ter que preencher meus dados em 10 lugares diferentes se todos eles pertencem à mesma empresa, pois cada vez que faço isso estou diluindo mais e mais minha segurança pessoal. Mesmo que a única solução fosse "parem de usar Google Services"... qual é o problema? Parem de usar, então. Não quer que o Google leia seus emails, serviços de email são as coisas mais simples de escolher, existem milhões, e qualquer um pode comprar um domínio e criar seu próprio. Não quer que saibam de suas buscas? Usem o Bing, funciona muito bem. Google Maps? Bing Maps. Google Plus? Facebook. Google Calendar? Mais uma vez, milhares de soluções, basta procurar a melhor para você. Android? iPhone/Windows Phone/Blackberry. Chrome? Firefox/Opera. Não existe nada do Google que você não possa viver sem por falta de alternativa boa o bastante. Se usa o Google, é porque prefere Google. Então pare de reclamar de barriga cheia. "Agora, você tem até o dia primeiro de março para rever toda a sua vida online e pensar no que você quer compartilhar em cada serviço do Google". Seu erro foi nunca ter feito isso antes. Staying Alive é muito óbvia. A melhor música pra manter a média de 100 compressões por minuto, não apenas pela taxa de BPM e por ser fácil de lembrar, mas pelo valor irônico, é Another One Bites the Dust do Queen (o nome da música se traduz como "mais um comeu poeira", que é uma gíria para "morrer"). :p

I don't get redirected, but I do find rather annoying that everyday, the first click I give on any place of any page on this websites opens a popup that Chrome doesn't seem able to block. It's from the AdultAdWorld provider you use (the code that opens it is on the bottom of the page, as "adultadworldpop_z.js"). I never complained about it before because... hey, I do enjoy your shares extensively and for free, so it would be selfish of me to complain about how you run your website... but since we are on the subject, I just thought to let you know.

Photoshop MAY take color calibration in account when converting files (it's optional), which would also explain the color difference. What happens in that case is the converted file is showing the correct color, because the browser is not displaying the color corrected version of the PNG file, is just displaying the raw data. When converting, PS takes that raw data, color correct it to display, and then it converts to RGB. You are probably correct about it in this case, that didn't cross my mind when I posted before. But even without taking color correction in consideration, these differences when converting from color modes are not very uncommon. But as I said before, try to always avoid working on low-bit color modes when doing image treatment, because you end up generating a lot of artifacts on the image, which can be avoided by converting to a high-bit mode before. For example, when doing "Playboy-style" skin cleanup on models for magazine work, I always work on 16-bit CMYK images and convert to 8-bit files as the last step of the process, since that helps avoid banding the skin tones after color correction.

Photoshop doesn't allow the use of layers on 256 colors/grayscale images, such as indexed PNGs or GIFs. So you must convert them to RGB to be able to create new layers. As a rule of thumb, you will probably want to convert them to at least RGB everytime anyways, because the less colors are allowed on the image, the lower will be the quality of any editing you make on them. This is also a good tip if you are making some serious color editing on a picture, and you start to get color banding on some areas. To avoid that, try converting the image to 16bits before making the edit, then converting it back to 8bits before saving. As to why the colors change... that comes with the territory. Any color mode conversion end with slightly different colors than the original (it's a lot worse if you try going from RGB to CMYK, believe me), because of rounding differences during the calculation of the converted image. On this particular case, I wouldn't worry about it because it won't be noticeable on the end product, but you can try to create a duplicate of the file (menu Image > Duplicate), converting one of them and then compensating with brightness/contrast adjustments. They don't really display any writing effort, instead are just an ordinary boy's daydream, or just an unstoppable sequence of sex scenes without any literary coherence. That is why, despite being written for a female audience, my absolute favorite hentai is Maka Maka. The story is also very sex-oriented (i.e. there's not much happening for the characters besides the sex action), but there is a real, palpable relationship being developed between characters that have realistic feelings and personalities, and no matter how much sex they show, you can read and see that the story is not about sex, but about the feelings the characters they have for each other, feelings they cannot have with their usual partners. THAT, my friend, is good writing.

While I'm not one to complain about any kind of porn, I don't really think these videos fit much on the context of the website. The best thing about this site is how specialized it is, and I don't think that attacking too many different fronts is the best. But as long as it doesn't change the current output of content, I have no complaints. :) I do think that more anime/hentai (or whatever it is called; I just read and watch, never really got to know the appropriated names) would be nice to have tho. Fits perfectly with the current theme for the website, and it's not very easy to find with good quality.

Not to be the harbinger of bad news, but... no, I don't believe there is a way to make display options default to anything else. They either have a preset default (like selection edges) or go back to the last set value (like rulers). However, you can quickly change selection edges visibility using the shortchut Ctrl-H. About pasting. Also no, there is not a way to make a layer be pasted straight on the background layer; for the use designers such as myself make of Photoshop, this is a blessing tho, the less "destructive" you can make the work process, the better. But after you paste many layers, instead spamming Ctrl-E to merge down the layers, you can select all layers on the Layers window (F7) and hit Ctrl-E just once to merge them all. You could also use the menu shortcut Alt-L-F to quickly select the command Flatten Image, or if you want even define your own custom shortcut for that same command.

I'm not very familiar with Gimp, so I don't know for sure what precisely this filter does, but you can achieve some similar (and also very good) results with the Surface Blur on Photoshop. What this filter does is applying a fast, Box Blur that is limited by regions of colors within a set threshold. It works wonders on cartoons with dark, traced borders. Lol, yeah, it looks a little like a tape. :) I was just demonstrating that some details can be restored from the censored areas without the need for redrawing everything from scratch. If I were to do a proper decensoring, I would paint over the edges of the censored areas to hide those problems, after the color adjustments. Shouldn't be too hard.
