I'll say the not sex option came up surprisingly often if you consider 'at all' surprising, which I suppose I do.

Most of the not sex choices I think involved Chiza, which is why... I think when it came to new sex partners our protagonist was fairly randy, cheap and easy.

Well the dirty little secret is that when it comes to sexy type stories... you already know what's going to happen as a writer. Everytime I gave the audience four choices I had to type out four complete responses, one for each so that as soon as the week's voting was over you could update with the new text.

After the first week I got wise and only typed up a paragraph for non-sexy choices... cause no one was ever going to see them! :)

Well the lion's share of the work with BHB IS the art. I imagine that out of the three pages or so that I wrote, and the maybe three-five illustrations that Akabur did for those three pages... that he easily spent ten to thirty times as much time on it as I did.

I wouldn't want to hijack his baby just cause he's busy. I would try to help if he wanted, but yeah.

Hey, I might be a lazy hobo that's been unemployed for 9 months. But I'm a lazy hobo with internet access!

Also anyone that likes Akabur's sense of humor and lesbian bondage and domination should check out an artist called Shiniez on HF. Also you should all give Akabur money. That too.

Come on man, if you bring it back, I'd bust out some prose for you in a second if you wanted it. :)

Actually my read on most criminal enterprises is that they're organized for control. It's to have someone smart at the top who lets all the little people know how the system works so they don't have to compete amongst each other as much. A sorta micro-view of the feudal system is what I mean.

What we've seen of the Master indicates he's something of a bad-ass, even if he is one person. So you build your gang by finding a small gang and telling them that if they only work such and such area and give you ten percent then they can call on you if someone else is muscling in on their racket. Once people buy that you're a credible threat and leave petty gang one alone you go two blocks over to petty gang two and say 'look how good I'm doing for petty gang one, right' at that point you get fifteen percent of petty gang two and you hire some muscle who sit around all day waiting to cause a ruckus if anyone hits petty gang one or two.

When you get to petty gang three then suddenly you let them know, "Look, you're all working for me, you're all not causing each other problems, so say you're all the same gang so NO ONE messes with any of you." With enough luck and personal charisma you have the start of a criminal enterprise right there.

The whole problem is getting the first group to buy it.

Well it's a little late to jump into this debate but in my mind there are two types of sadism.

There's the "I smack someone around a bit when we're having fun because I like it and they like it too" fun sadism that's good.

And there's the "The anguish of my victims is the only way I can get an erection" evil sadism that's bad.

I honestly think the Master falls more into the first category more often than most, but in this particular story he was fairly well driven towards the second category by the fact that he's had some shitty stuff happen in his life and Darla is an indirect symbol of that. I really tried to bring across in the writing that a lot of the incredibly discourteous and harsh views the Master has of Darla are products of his own perspective of her based on his biased views and she's not very deserving of such a low view of her. I hope that came across.

And to answer your first point I really hope myself that 'torturing the cat' means chasing it around and trying to put silly hats on it because I have too much energy. Because if Sheila is inflicting harm on animals because she thinks that's fun then that would be an indication that she's a sociopath, and that's not good.

lol! There is some follow up, I just have to write it and Akabur has to approve it! :)
