I fall on the autistic spectrum myself. Specifically I'm what most would consider the "Idiot Savant" where I don't understand a lot of social cues and subtle facial expressions, at least not right away. On the other hand I work as a computer repair tech for a non-profit (yeah I fit the steryotype... mostly).

I do have a concern with this. Yes it can be a good idea, but I'm afraid that things like this may paint autistic people with too broad a brush. We are all individuals, and our Autistic Spectrum Disorder tends to manifest very differently from person to person.

I believe that what may appear as negativity comes from
1) Someone on tha autistic spectum is moe likely to be direct and blunt about their feelings.
2) You would be upset if you lived your life with everyone looking down on you for no other reason than you're different. Especially of that difference makes you especially socially awkward.
