Love your idea of having the entire third floor as the master! I was also thinking of where to put an office/library, and that would do it. But I do love the soaking tub in the master bath! ;)

Ok, guys, don't hate me, but does anyone remember the address of the home? I remember that someone had posted it and also someone posted a geographical link, showing a bird's eye view of the home. I've been trying to go through the posts, but I can't remember how far back. If anyone can answer or point me in the general direction of which blog it may have been in (month/season) I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Hello fellow bloggers! Are we all drooling? Thinking of what personal items are going to go where? ;) This house is BEAUTIFUL!!!! The attention to detail is SO appreciated--the trim, the curlicue thingies on the staircase, the front door is gorgeous, and all of those windows!!!! So light-filled! AND its also very liveable! I love the colors--they're so calming-- and the splashes of red, the beautiful antiques, and that kitchen is my favorite. I'm so impressed, James, that you got that much storage in such a small space! That view!!! Really, I can't find one thing not to love about this house. I really want to thank Matt B, James, Matt M., Josh, Dean & Derek, Jason, and Anitra, the contruction teams, and DIY Network for a truly amazing home and the chance to win it! Really, you all have knocked it waaaay out of the park (stands on a chair, clapping madly)

Hi LL!!!! OmGosh, doesn't it? I must admit I still dream about last year's darling, but . . . its ok now. Lol! The backyard view of this house wins hands down. I'm so grateful to you, Kdoodle, for posting the link; I just couldn't wait anymore! But I'm sure there are so many goodies waiting for us in about 34 minutes!
Hello bloggers! Its been a loooong time since I've blogged with you, but the spring and summer was FULL!!!! Great to be here again with you all , anticipating the reveal. I've promised myself that I WILL NOT fall head-over-heals in love with this house as I did last year's Blog Cabin, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to break that promise. The teaser pictures are just simply too gorgeous. A huge thanks to Matt and the team for giving a faded pearl of a house a good brushing off and a new life! Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!

Blog Cabin : Daffodils in Bloom

My pleasure! Very nice to meet you. :) Just a thought . . . if you have the inclination, you could dig out the ones in the woods and transplant them where you would like them. Just wait until the foliage declines and use an ordinary fertilizer for bulbs. They may just need some food and a bit of sun, thus saving you some money. :)

Hi me, again. . . . Is the Marino update on the 2010 BC blog, on this blog or in another area altogether? Sorry for being a pain but I just can't find it. I did see that the owner of the horse ranch across the street wrote a very nice welcome to them on the 2010 BC blog. Nice to see that my impression of the area panned out--nice and friendly. :) Hope you're enjoying your day.

Thanks for pointing it out. I did see their comments on winning the home which were so lovely and it was wonderful that they took the time to comment to all of us.
Hi zipdedoda! I have in my garden a variety called "Sir Winston Churchhill" which has a lovely fragrance. In fact, I sometimes forget about it until I smell its delicious fragrance. :) You can find it online at www.whiteflowerfarm.com. The nursery is a little on the expensive side, but I've been ordering plants from them for several years and have always been satisfied. Hope this helps!

Hi everyone! Hope you've enjoyed the holidays and the "promise" of spring! I've only been on briefly from time to time to do some voting. I really have to applaud you all on the voting choices! I'm really happy with them and even some of my favorites made it. ;) And I'm so glad the kitchen is redone--it makes so much more sense--great job on that! Just saw the daffs and aren't they wonderful!!!! Truly, here is a pearl of a lady being given another chance to dazzle--I just love her more and more each time I see her. Great job everyone--crew, designers, bloggers all. Be seeing more of me as the season progresses--take care!

Thank you! Its nice to be back and to know who the winner is. Took a little time away to attend to things IRL and, I admit, the tension of waiting was a little nerve-wracking for me. LOL! So glad it went to such a lovely family. :) Be seeing a little more of me now. :) Can't wait for the voting for BC 2011! LOVE this house! Hope all is well. ;)

Buttwhistler, how long ago were you in "Binghelltown"? Regarding Binghamton being a "pretty sizeable city", it is, in relation to the surrounding areas. And while I may be 5'2" and 103 lbs., I am hardly an "ant". Lol! True, Binghamton has declined, but it seems to be embarking on a renaissance of sorts in that its present mayor is working to take on restoring the blighted neighborhoods. Other cities have done so successfully. Also, upon checking out employment opportunities, there are some sizeable employers with branches in the area: AT&T, Verizon, AXA Advisors, ENSCO, Inc. BAE Systems and civilian jobs with the US Navy, in addition to healthcare and retail jobs. Perhaps, it was a hellhole in the past, but it could be enjoying a new beginning.
