Does any one have any information on H.R. 615? It is supposed to be a bill that would require Congress to share in the new health care ( should it pass) that they want to force on us. ( Rather then the premium care they now get).If this bill actually does that - I want to write my Conressmen and demand they sign on to it!
Wait wait wait! We are going to ASK the speaker to use the same health care plan they initiate for us? Where exactly does this WE THE PEOPLE thing come in? WIth all the job losses of everyone else, it is time for Congress to get a huge pay cut, and a loss of benifits and oh yeah same pensions and health care WE have. How do we make this happen? Can it be done by a petition by the people to put it on the ballots of every state? IF it would pass then we would have something to go after if they do not emplement it. I need to see less talk and more action - getting very frustrated!
I have a friend who's ex girlfriend turned him in to law enforcement ( he WORKS in law enforcement) that she was afraid of him when he came to collect some of his stuff - because he owned guns. On her word his bosses suspended him from work and lauched a case against him that required him to put his guns with someone else, claiming they were afraid of work place violence from him, or they would take them. The first case went to court and the girl friend admitted she maybe exagerated her complaints. She dropped her case. My friend now has a case against the city for their actions. He has repeatedly called the NRA for help with this and it is clearly documented what was done. So far the NRA has not called back. So this is another organization we pay into that turns their back on us when we need them? The government is coming for our guns - it may be one gun at a time - but they are coming. WHO can we count on for help and support?
I am watching the Iranian people and checking the video clips on you tube. Those people riot to get what we have, and our people are sitting by and waiting for someone to take up the fight to retain our freedoms for them. I don't want the violence of course, but we could sure make a peaceful stir if we wanted to. I see lots of talking and not enough action. We need to find our points, set out goals and get off our butts and act before we have LESS freedom then the people of Iran do! Also - is it "telling" that Obama is silent?
Springfield XD 40. The new ones are slimmer and I have not yet met anyone who has seen them not like them. I have a few problems with the stronger spring in the slide - need to strengthen my hands - but wanted something that will knock down what I have to shoot at - didn't think a 9 mm would do it. My son suggested going to a store that has a range and asking to try a few items out. Wished I could have done that - too small of a town here and too far from that sort of range/shop combo. I am happy with my purchase - I just need more practice.
We can bring back our government. My Frustration is that I see lots of talking and very little action. I also live in a very small welfare/ old age pension / democrat/ union town. Trust me those like me are few and far between. I am feeling very very frustrated at not seeing any action out of the people of this nation. I am wondering if people care enough to act. I am also afraid that if we don't start doing something soon it may be too late. Look at all Obama has succeeded in doing in the last 6 months and NO ONE STANDS UP TO HIM. I am ready to work to reclaim my country. I just don't see talking about it and letters to congressmen who have very large paper shredders (apparently) helping much.
I am concerned about stuff I am hearing from "someone who knows" in Colorado. It seems that in the Denver area one can be "perceived" as dangerous from an individual who calls the police to report that you have a gun. The call as I understand it is required to be answered by no less then four cars of police officers. This has happened during hunting season when a man had his hunting rilfe in a rack across the back window of his truck and also has happened to a man who was in his home cleaning a rilfe and who crossed in front of his own picture window with said rifle in hand. Both were treated as criminal acts because "someone" perceived them as a threat. This is harrassment. Neither individual was arrested as neither were doing anything wrong. Can you imagine four police cars showing up to your house putting on a show for all your neighbors all because you were considered a theat?
This is all really wrong. All in Colorado. It apears our Democrat laden state government has decided to take on the gun owners one by one.
There was a time unions were a good thing. Now they are just well paid thugs who take our money and try to influence politics to their favor. I know a union head man - he travels the country trying to establish and hold union positions. They localised a new union here at one of our hospitals - when the hospital workers were having disputes - that union man wouldn't even answer his phone! When one of the companies here was in the middle of contract negotiations and on strike - the union drove up, threw out a few T-Shirts and were not heard from again. These people are no better then the politicians they serve.
Speaking of guns making people uncomfortable - I heard from a good source that some big cities are discriminating against honest gun owning citizens. That reports from "terrified" citizens reporting someone with guns can bring out four or five police cars to investigate. That a guy at home, in his own home,wlaking past his picture window while cleaning a rilfe had four cars turn up at his house to investigate. That a truck that had a gun rack in his back window during hunting season was pulled over for investigation because some one perceived him as a threat. None of these legal citizens was doing anything wrong - but this is if nothing else - harrassment. AND it is the local police dept. taking these calls! We are in trouble - and it is too quiet that all this type stuff is happening and NO ONE IS SPEAKING UP where it counts!
Again - we have to keep the Electoral College for balance of the smaller states with the large.
Abortion. Regardless what we think this is a no win situation. Remove it from the political arena. We may not all agree on it - but I remember the back alley abortion clinics of the 60's where women died and shady doctors prospered. Don't want to go back there. A woman who wants an abortion will find one - put limitations on when and how.
Social secuirity - remove congress' ability to raid the system. Regardless of how it is fixed - if you don't stop congress from spending from the system - nothing will work.
All laws and amendments need to be written in the people english - meaning I should be able to understand it!
Cut all benifits, and pay for Congress making it less attractive to stay for ever.
Enforce spending limitations on election spending - all parties have the same amount. This should eliminate George Soros and those like him from buying elections.
Truth in advertising in political ads. IF you lie or distort you pay a huge fine - let their war chests back up their mouths instead. Enough for now.
