Remember the Presidential "We won't rest until..." - Seems his definitions differ from ours, perhaps a link to Merriam-Webster would do him some good.??

After the German reunification, we learned of the ONE thing created by the communist/socialist system that had never before been seen in human history - The Lazy German - and I wonder what may be making Americans lazy?

This from the man who is setting records for vacations? and records for spending OPM (other people's money). I guess that takes an extraordinary amount of work.

Big Hollywood : NBC's ObamaVision: 'Law and Order' -- 'This Is Why We Need Health-Care Reform'

As a physician, I don't have that much time to watch them anyway (let's see it is 19:39 right now.. and still have another hour of paperwork), yep this is a show that is easily dropped from any future viewing. I fear the country will get what they are pushing for - and I will become an ex-physician or an ex-patriot.

Breitbart.com : Canadians still \'distrust\' United States: poll

A few years later, I was stationed in Fort Drum, New York. The nearby Canadian newspapers would occasionally run articles on how the 10th Mountain Division was at Fort Drum to rapidly seize the seats of Government in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. This was WAY before anyone had even HEARD of G.W. Bush.

Doesn't surprise me. My family visited our Canadian relations in 1988, and these otherwise seemingly intelligent people asked who we liked in the upcoming US presidential election. Before I could respond, they continued, that "Jesse Jackson sounded like a good choice." After almost choking, I realized the futility of continuing any political discussion and changed the subject.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." C. S. Lewis Wonders what happens when the robber baron/chicago gangsters claim to be doing it for our own good? Guess we shall find out.

Breitbart.com : Critics assail Afghan law that \'legalizes rape\'

'"It is impossible in a two-month session for parliament to pass a law more than 200 pages long," she said of the 263-page law.' Of course, she is right, it would be impossible for a responsible deliberative body to pass a law of more than two hundred pages in a two month session. Oh, wait, HR1, the vaunted stimulus/porkulus/ARRA2009 is 647 pages long - and was introduced on 23 January and passed on 13 Feb 2009 - and that was after going through conference committees to reconcile with the senate version. It is quite easy to pass such a bill if the "representatives" do not bother to take the time to read it. At least in Afganistan, the elective bodies take their jobs seriously and not just partisans voting for the party's paybacks.
