Hi Trish, how cool are those pics...loved meeting The Boys in your life yesterday too. My hub built a Rocking Horse for the grandkids...around 5 years ago. It is an heirloom to be! Right now, it is quite a conversation piece as well as a
Yee Har piece. D X

I am blogging because I like to, and need to connect. Pure and Simple (no not that spray stuff either).
When I stopped working after 40 years, and had zero social life...that WAS what teaching was LOL...and I had a sick hub (still do) I needed something where I could connect.
Blogging, eventually became that medium.
Before I began my blog in December 2010 I visited loads of blogs, commented, and contributed where I had something worthwhile to add. I also had been on twitter for 7 months before then, so had some ideas of who I loved connecting with in the various interests I have.
So, I am not mummy blogger...but I love reading everyone's blogs...and since makeover #246797 of my blog, I finally realised...TA DA!! Blog what you know about best, blog from the heart, connect with the heart, sometimes add a post to make others think...and keep on keeping on.
S L O W L Y my blog is gaining some viewers and readers and I have done to full-on connecting thing via FB and more.
But, as Mrs Woog says, when it stops being F U N and you can't stop obsessing and comparing, then it's time for a re-think, to pat the dog, feed the kids, go outside...and have the LIFE that isn't always going to wait. OUTSIDE the blogosphere.

Hi Trish, Hi good is blogging for making the memories of your life (and holiday of a lifetime) into a living story.
I agree with many above, about the magnificence & splendour of nature. You sure aren't going on holidays to visit shopping centre!!
When I had an Aboriginal community member visit the school where I was principal she taught me about how trees would be often hollowed out at their base like that for:
- shelter
- giving birth

Isn't it awesome on a walkway like that? Took my 12 yo granddaughter on the Illawarra Fly in September, and she is scared of heights, but managed the walk, because of the rails, and there was not too much sway.

I am loving these pics, and so many more of your special trip.

Hi Trish,
Wonderful idea. I agree X100% with Gemma, "underneath you" is much more than meets the eye and the ear...
I have taken the idea, and will do it via a blog post with a twist one day. Love it!

Hello Lovely Daisy. I want to give you a hug right now (sorry Jess, it's a hug) and say "you are doing such a great job" Because I think parenting, mothering specifically can be the only job where you don't get enough hugs, pats on the back...more like kid around your leg, and someone trying to belt you with something.
So, I say...you are doing a great job...it is T O U G H. I went back to work ....that's partly why. Teaching a class was easier than being at home with one. You have 3.
Give yourself a back pat...and a virtual cupcake from me... Love your work, you live a genuine life.
