Video Game News & Reviews - Kombo.com : Stan Lee Talks Shattered Dimensions in New Video

Stan Lee's always great fun. I saw an interview with him once where they asked him if he could have super powers, what would they be, & he started his reply with: "If I had super powers in real life... which is not to say that I don't". classic.

I had the Amiga 500 version, so I know what you mean. I have also seen the game running on arcade machines that didn't have the lights (maybe arcades cutting costs?), which does make the nigh on impossible.

Uh.... no, I really didn't 0_o; One of the wonderful problems with communicating in type, that you can't hear the tone in what's being said. I really don't give a flying toss about political correctness, to be honest.

In the arcade there were prompts... but they were on the cabinet, not the screen, if you had to press a direction, the appropriate side of the screen would flash for a second... likewise the sword button flashed when you had to press that.

In my experience you're likely to find a lot of very computer literate people on Martial arts forums... and a fair few marital artists in glee clubs (or at least the closest thing that we have to glee clubs here).

Video Game News & Reviews - Kombo.com : Tofu Returns in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

I've been part of several Martial arts forums, all of which requite you to sign your posts with you full real name. I've never heard of anything untoward happening to any of the members, & the few arguments that did crop up tended to be resolved very quickly. Facebook seems to do ok, & almost all it's users use their real names. Hell, I'm posting here under my real name... with a photo of myself to boot, yet, I don't seem to be fearing for my safety. If everyone's using their real names (which would be hard to enforce), harassment doesn't really become as much of an issue, because you have the real name of the person doing it. The OP here said "I've also heard stories of people meeting someone on an online game and being raped by them in real life"... I can actually see a benefit to knowing the real identity of someone who does something like this... I'm sure the police can too. I think the biggest problem with this is that it would simply be too hard to enforce... too easy for someone to make up an alias.

You know that the entire financial report is on Nintendo.co.jp in english, right? You don't actually need someone to translate it. Interesting to see that, when comparing Wii hardware sales to Software sales, that there are 7.74 games sold for every console out there.

I'm really looking forward to the 3DS, day one, most likely. But I do have a nit pick, if I may... the cameras are still only 0.3 megapixel, it'd be nice to have at least 1.3... that being said, even at the 0.3, I really hope the pictures aren't as blurry as the DSi's are, which makes them seem even lower res.

I think you mean Kuma... not Puma. But good point, after all, Zangief was meant to have trained against bears. The trailer also had Dan in it... wonder if that's a character confirmation. Really wanting both these games... hoping they both come to the 3DS.

Video Game News & Reviews - Kombo.com : Yes Virginia, There Is an Official Zelda Timeline

I've been checking some interviews with Miyamoto & Aonuma, & it seems that there are two Zelda timelines. At the end of OoT it splits into the timeline where link beat Gannon, & went on from there (to the Wind Waker games) & the timeline where he got turned back into a kid afterward, which is the timeline with LoZ, AoL, ALttP & TP,

Video Game News & Reviews - Kombo.com : Yes Virginia, There Is an Official Zelda Timeline

Miyamoto has talked about the timeline before... right at the time when he said that OoT was the first game, chronologically. I guess now it's the second. There are lots of references in Zelda games to other's in the series, so it makes sense that there's a timeline. For instance, towns in Zelda 2 turn out to be named after sages from OoT. Makes me wonder if the city in the sky where Link lives in Skyward sword will be linked to the Oocca city from Twilight Princess.

One, don't call me a dude. Two, yes, it can process the lossless audio, but it does so by converting it to LPCM through software decoding, & the software that it uses is a lossy conversion. It's going to be better than straight DTS or DD, but not up to par with a system that can actually process the signal natively without converting them. Find a decent test room & listen to them side by side, the difference is quite noticeable.
