I had Disqus on my blog and had to remove it completely. It kept messing up and disrupting my whole blog layout. I was going to switch to Intense Debate but heard so many people lately saying they were having issues with it that I'm just sticking with blogger embedded comments until I switch over to Wordpress. Such a pain!

Very good points! The "Don't keep score" is essential. Take it from a mom of 5, if you keep score it will eventually get UGLY. Haha!

I love this post, love love love it. I was teased almost mercilessly because of a medical condition and it made middle and high school absolute torture for me. We have already encountered bullying with my 11 year old and my 7 year old. I really want to slap the parents and show them what it's like to be bullied.

Haha! See, this is exactly why I make Husband do the yard work. If it were left up to me we would be living in a jungle! I need a beer after reading this so surely you have earned one :)

I think you're lucky to have missed out on high school in the era of big hair! Will you kill me if I tell you that you graduated the year I was born? *hides*

Yes. She gave me a very detailed nutrition plan that broke it down daily into Breakfast, mid-morn snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, late-afternoon snack, dinner, evening-snack. It was very detailed and it was intense with other kids in the house but it did work. We added the Duocal powder to his milk and his food for extra calories and that helped tremendously. As much work as it was, having the daily menu plan all broken down and planned out for me made life easier because I wasn't constantly worrying that I wasn't feeding him enough. I knew exactly what to feed him, how much and when. If he for any reason did not want to eat then we also had a back up plan (like Pediasure or adding extra Duocal powder) to make up the lost calories.

Been there. The diagnosis does make you feel like you're failing as a mother. You're not. You know you're not and anyone who reads your blog knows you're not. I remember feeling like everyone was judging me as a mother when my son was diagnosed with FTT. He was severely FTT (due to a chromosomal syndrome) for the first 3 years of his life. We used Pediasure, we added Duocal to his milk, we added polylipids to his formula as an infant...one nutritionist had us adding crisco to things. It was a difficult time for me, I was having to calculate his kCals every single day to keep it steady. I hope the nutritionist can give you some suggestions, ours made a world of difference for me. She took the planning and the guesswork out of it for me. I had a plan to follow. I hope it's the same for you. You're doing good mama, no matter what her diagnosis may be!

Um, I think I love you. Any woman who will decorate a man's yard with pork is my kind of woman! I wish we could've seen his face. Just imagining it makes me giggle. I'm all about revenge, in case it wasn't obvious. Haha!
