How many times has this happened to you? You call your Senator or Representative to express your displeasure at his or her performance, before you can finish your thought some twit on the other end of the line starts telling you about the crisis in this country and how hard they are working to solve it. If you dare mention values, which must be virgin territory for them, the conversation really becomes interesting. Don't even think about bringing up their voting record, they consider that to be the will of the people. Well, I don't know the people they seem to be listening to and I continue to search for them. Somebody help me out here.

How many of us are fed up with the dog and pony show that they pass off as a White House press conference?
They alert us of a public health hazard and tell us to wash our hands. Next they will tell us that we didn't take responsibility for washing our hands and that we are the problem. Where are their values?

Our president should declare a state of emergency and close the border. Nothing crosses from Mexico, including air traffic until this swine flu is brought under control, or would you have us wait until there are 1000's of American's sick and hospitalized. What say you?

Handcock, Our biggest problem is not finding a leader we can trust, but one who will not be corrupted by the very politicians that will surround him or her. As a Texan I also voted for Bush, not because he was from Texas, but because I thought he had some of the values that I believed in. I don't regret saying I was very much disappointed in his performance. You have it right, without a political representative, this will be just another BLOG SITE.

Something everybody in public service should read ( including our congress) is Gen. MacArthur's farewell speech at West Point. Read the para relating to DUTY-HONOR-COUNTRY. He was a true American.
