FeralSceptic I have to disagree. No doubt there are people with their own agendas but an open discussion is always healthy no matter what side of the fence you’re on. There are definitely opinions on this forum which one should take with a pinch of salt, but there’s also useful information and links that have helped to give us (me) a broader knowledge about how private equity, shareholders, bonder holders, banks etc. work.

I find it amusing that the NZ bondholders genuinely can't understand why Bluestar aren't making a profit and can't therefore pay dividends. I think we could all offer them some insight into that one!

I haven't found 60% to be the case. For my requirements more like 10-20% increase, which when you look at it, probably where pricing should have been anyway.

I've heard a whole lot of excuses from ASIC as to why these people can't be prosecuted. Unfortunately so has everyone else. Those who act in this reckless manner know, as the law stands, there's a really good chance they'll get away without prosecution and with their personal assets still intact.
