Scott Granneman's Classes : Metro-Sexual

Boy this was eye opening. With all the news about Iran, this is inconceivable that first, they have access to cellphones; and second, they are used for sexting as well. The part in the article where an individual was warned by the Iranian government not to participate in disobedience toward the government was funny. But sexting, with videos, that's interesting. To think they are a backward people with hardly any necessities, needing Americas assistance, is backward thinking. These people are socially networking.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Social Music Overview

I agree with BMay, the less blog the better. So far my favorite among those list is last.fm. I like that its a 2.0 veteran and more socially slanted. It's tagging abilities sounds appealing as well. Being able to share with friends is another feature that last.fm offers that drew me.

Just learning to master Flickr's basics: uploading, organizing, and sharing. It's new to me but fairly easy after reading this article. It's free too! Wow, that works for me.

Good article on the history of Flickr. I like that they tried online gaming, went straight to photosharing, and never looked back. Turns out to be a profitable move. I need to explore Flickr. Sounds like a cool tool!

Excellent article on photosharing sites and their numbers. I, too, had not heard of Imageshack, but of course, Facebook and Picasa. Hope to start adding my photos soon, just too busy right now. I now have a choice of which site I'll use.

This list wreaks of negativity towards/in gaming. What happen to the "fun"? Did the light go out in the process of designing or are these true colors? Just notice this was 2006...hopefully there's been a turnaround.

#6 Bite size chunks appears helpful in limiting game levels to 30 minutes. This allows you time to play during your lunch hour...that's funny! While I'm just becoming familiar with the virtual world gaming, this time restraint sounds appealing.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Virtual Dopers Crave High Scores

Virtual drugs in online games...unbelievable! What happen to a Tale in the Desert just being a society building game? I disagree with the creator using drugs to introduce an element of danger. Am I nuts or is the world gone crazy? This does not sound like a fun game after all. Earlier I commented that "Tale in the Desert" sounded interesting, and it may be. But, personally, I'll pass .

Scott Granneman's Classes : Endgame

What an interesting spin on this game. I don't see it as the creator/designer shirking his responsibilities in allowing the players to create the "next" game after reaching the highest level. I did get that right, didn't I? I say it a brilliant move.

This game appears appealing. With no violence or warfare, I could stand to play this one. I also like that you have a mentor and later become one yourself. Could this online game incorporate the beginnings of civilization or the real world? I need to check this one out!

Scott Granneman's Classes : Chasing the dream

Personally, I'm glad to see the "Hillary Clintons" fighting for regulations on some of these games. Just because it's labeled a game doesn't make it a "free for all." Why would a game include hidden sex scenes? I suppose my definition of game is outdated. I think this industry has become too violent and explicit.

This sounds like the most "normal" game I've heard of since we've studied games . I too loved playing with dolls as a child. But I agree with RebeccaLight pushing a button ain't the same as actually having the doll in your possession. There is a disconnect somewhere.I think perhaps we give these "games" too much credit.
