Big Hollywood : 'Tower Heist' Blu-ray Review: Perfect Piece of Popcorn Entertainment

If we boycotted movies just because libtards (or their brothers) are in them, what would we watch? You can only watch Atlas Shrugged and Act of Valor so many times...(although you could watch them quite a bit). We'll just leave the blacklisting to the "tolerant" left, thanks.

Let's not forget Elmer Bernstein's first foray into comedy, "Animal House". This particular score was iconic because it brought full theater orchestral scoring into comedy, something that had not been done previously.

Big Hollywood : 'Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace 3D' Review: Jar Jar Aside, Prequel Still Has Merit

To be honest, the terrible acting by the young actor who portrays Aniken bothered me more than anything else, including Jar-Jar. But will I still go to see it in 3D? Probably. I saw episode 4 when I was 14 in '76 and can't shake the mythology...

Big Hollywood : Rob Lowe: Conservative Politics Built on Logic

It's funny that you reference Mr. Mamet's directing in the past tense. So, either you think he's dead, or he'll never direct again (because of the blacklist?), or that now he's conservative his direction will lack quality. Look out, your bias is showing. Not to mention that I enjoy the work that all of these artists have done, so I guess your judgmental attitude is showing as well. I guess we, as conservatives, don't have the option to disrespect artists based purely on their opinions, or we wouldn't have much to watch or enjoy (you know, blacklist and all).

Big Hollywood : While Islamists Censor Adam Lambert, Gutless GLAAD Protests Movie Trailer

Maybe Vaughn is just describing electric cars as happy? Does GLAAD also condemn the South Park episode where the four protagonists use the word "gay" in this context and don't even know why people are upset? To them, it just meant "stupid", it had nothing to do with homosexuality. Soon enough there won't be anything left to say that doesn't offend someone. Well, it's perfectly ok to offend white heterosexual males, but I mean everyone else....

Big Hollywood : Free Classical Music For Everyone? Why That's Just Plain Old-Fashioned Communism!

Part II The whole business of being a musician seems to be going downhill, between samples, sequencers, low return on material and high touring costs, not to mention the fact that most corporations have either shut down all extra-office events (parties, etc.) or just plain stopped hiring bands for those events, and DJ's have taken over most weddings to boot (damn you DJ's!!!). It's a good thing I got off the road and got into software development when I did, or I'd really be hurting. I just felt all the snide comments were over the top, so my comment was not really as much a commentary of the content of the column itself as it was the general attitude.

I understand the concept, although I'm not familiar witht the particulars of copyright law. My comment was really directed at the attitude some of the entries had towards musicians in general. However, two things come to mind in regards to your post 1) Those dudes you paid are lucky, I've done a lot more for a lot less and never seen a dime in residual or commission. If you need a bassist/vocalist who can do ANY style in one take, I'll cut you a deal, lol. And, 2) what you state does sound a bit overboard as far as the law goes, but there must be some happy medium where material is protected at least for some agreeable period of time. And....(since my reply was a bit too long apparently)
