Hmm, they worded that funny. Everything else I'm reading says that employers can't interfere with the time you say you need to vote; that by interfering at all it can be interpreted as your employer influencing your vote.

Thanks, TH. That's a tough transition to make, but can definitely be done, it's all about how you position yourself. Feel free to send me an email when you decide to start pursuing things. I would recommend you start building up your network about 6-9 months before you want to get back to work. That way when you're ready, your network will also be ready.

Yes, stay positive! I know it can be tough, I also go through rough patches, but then I make myself get outside for a few hikes and do something else to get my mind off of the search and that really helps. If you've had interest and landed some interviews then you're headed in the right direction and it's only a matter of time!

All wonderful points, I appreciate the advice to follow-up two days after the first application/email. I used to temp a lot and would constantly keep in touch with my recruiters. With usually just a, "Hey! I know you're busy, just letting you know that I'm free!" The typical response was, "Oh, yes, I was going to email you, but lost track of time! Thanks for reminding me!" While we think we may be bothersome, we're actually making sure that we're top-of-mind and have also created an easy way for them to respond to you. I say this assuming people are not sending an email everyday, one follow-up will do!
