Patrick J. Buchanan : The Fruits of Intervention

The U.S. removed Iraq as a threat to Israel. Israel is now free to continue bulldozing homes, killing inhabitants and putting settlers in the occupied territories. Israel engages in some sham negotiations which fool no one, while continuing to reject partition of Palestine. The Obama administration has had no effect on the continued expansion of Israel and the bulldozing of people's homes.

Patrick J. Buchanan : VIDEO: CBS Refused H1N1 FOIA Data by CDC

This is terrible reporting by CBS. They need a science editor. They should have consulted someone with expertise in laboratory diagnosis of influenza virus. There are plenty of review articles and book chapters on this complex topic. PhD virologists, specialists in infectious disease and pathologists subspecializing in microbiology can explain that throat swabs have a high false negative rate. The gold standard for measuring influenza incidence is measurement of antibody in convalescent serum at three weeks post illness.

Patrick J. Buchanan : The Affirmative Action Nobel

I promise never to call him President Obama again. From now on he is the Nobel Laureate. Our day will be November 9, the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. In the 20th century, 180 million people died in wars and revolutions, over 100 million at the hands of communists.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Hire Americans First

In my estimation, about 30% of Americans are unemployable, due to a failing educational system, dysfunctional families, and the growth of the counterculture. Television and video games created a generation with the attention span of a kitten. A minority of high school graduates are at 12th grade level. The American work ethic, except in a few minorites, has collapsed in parallel with the educational system and economy. We can continue to survive importing Chinese and Indian students to populate our science and engineering graduate schools and develop the technology of the future. Perhaps those unemployable, uneducable, borderline sociopathic people can find work as federal, state and local sinecure cubicle workers.

Patrick J. Buchanan : The Generals' War

Surely you have all noticed that the Obama administration keeps Hillary Clinton at least 8,000 miles from any trouble spot. That explains her frequent trips to Tierra del Fuego and Labrador. The president doesn't listen to his advisors. He is the consumate multitasker who answers his own blackberry. It should not surprise anyone that he does so poorly

Patrick J. Buchanan : The Generals' War

U.S. military doctrine since WW2 has pushed "maneuver war." Functionally, the U.S. is now pursuing a Maginot line static defense of the border provinces. We've learned nothing. Withdraw from the border provinces. Hold Kabul. Let the enemy move into the border provinces where we can engage them at the time and place of our choosing, all the while bombarding them with the one weapon in which we have total superiority: pornography made in California.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Bitter Fruits of Mideast Wars

1. If Israel bombs the Iranian nuclear sites or Iran explodes a bomb, I'll be rich and you won't. My oil stocks will soar as oil returns to $140. And I bet one or the other happens in the next five years. 2. Imagine how President Obama's healthcare address to congress three weeks ago looked to Iran, Israel, China and Russia. The leader of the free world telling outrageous lies to an adoring media. Foreign leader's analysists see this another example of American degeneracy. Of course, the French loved the speech Obama is just like a Frenchman, except he bathes more often and uses deodorant.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Is Iran Nearing a Bomb?

Google search "osirak redux." Iran's bomb program is widely dispersed after Osirak, but there have to be choke points known to the best intelligence service in the world. Most of the people speculating talk about how the Israelis will get across Jordan and American controlled Iraqi airspace. Israel has the tankers to go down the Red Sea and across to Iran. They practiced long distance flights with tanking over the Med in summer 2008. That's how U.S. F-16s go all the way across the Atlantic. Israeli tankers and fighter bombers could squawk as if commercial flights headed for Africa and spoof U.S. AWACS over Iraq.

Patrick J. Buchanan : To Lose a War

Western civilization has sought to contain expansionist Islam since 800 A.D. We can defeat the idea of imposing submission to this curious religion if we are patient and wise. There are forces of toleration in Islam. America excels, like no other country, in the production of pornography. If you were an Islamist, which would you rather do, die blowing up buildings in New York, or watch Paris Hilton on your DVD?

Patrick J. Buchanan : To Lose a War

Rome took three wars over 80 years to defeat Carthage. So war can be intermittent. The U.S. took 30 years to defeat Geronimo, so war can be protracted. USMC generals advocated an "enclave" strategy in the 70s which might have won in Vietnam. A low intensity war over 10 years or so may give American technology time to defeat the IED, the tactic which enabled the Tailiban comeback.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Black Sea Wars

Since Polish based BMD came up... hinking About Future Naval Ballistic Missile Defense http://blog.usni.org/?p=4381 There is fresh new thinking about Naval BMD, a better, cheaper idea than Polish land based. Naval BMD is easily made stealthy, can deploy decoys and can be moved as threat areas change with history. The great news: We don't have to pay foreign aid bribes or make guarantees to commit our treasure within the Monroesky Doctrinesky lands. Not to mention avoiding the cost of importing polish bar girl brides, treatment for cervical cancers contracted in their entrepreneurial days and SSI for their mamma sans and extended families.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Race and Stupidity

Meanwhile, every day we are closer to Bibi's air strike on Iran's nuclear checkpoints. Rahm Emanuel, son of Irgun terrorist is chief of staff. Hillary Clinton is competent as a liberal seat warmer on the Supreme Court, but not in foreign relations. The left have no one of Kissinger's ability. Oil goes back to $140 or more from the embargo to come. The U.S. economy will be set back for at least a year.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Race and Stupidity

A junior college philosophy teacher, a wise latina or a rabbi can tell you that Obama said something untrue, for the purpose of deception, deliberately and for his own benefit. He fulfilled the criteria for a liar three times in the speech (see Krauthammer;s today). His pants were not on fire, but the secret service will be keeping an agent with fire extinguisher at the ready for future speeches. As for his nose and telephone wire...who cares. He disgraced the office of the president. Three and a half more years of this and he ends up another Jimmy Carter.

Patrick J. Buchanan : Globalism vs. Americanism

China is the number one car maker, more than the U.S. and E.U. Most are Japanese, German and GM. Their own models were well received at the Detroit Auto show. In the Sept. 14 Aviation Week and Space Technology there are two articles on the Comac C919 which is expected to enter service in 2016 and competes with the Airbus 320 and Boeing 737. It is much more modern technology and is at least 10% more efficient. Technology transfers to China are allowing them to leapfrog the U.S. Our number one foreign export is Boeing airliners and those days are numbered. Indian and Chinese cars will be on sale in the U.S. soon, and they will be made in efficient, brand new factories using the best technology. They will likely get top ratings from Consumer reports in just a few years, following the same path as the Koreans.
