Hi Ben,

I know exactly what you're saying. There is nothing harder than diving into the unknown, but taking the route that feels "safe" has resulted in so many failures for me.

Hi Ben,

It's so easy for us to focus on the outcome and forget about the path we took to get there. It can make us forget why we enjoyed doing what we did in the first place.

Thanks for your comment.

And for the record, my fiance knows everything I've been involved in, has had dinner with Neil Strauss (who wrote "The Game") and has met dozens of other guys who have chosen to improve their social skills so they can find fulfilling relationships.

I see you left a different email address this time. I'm resending my previous email.

I have removed a comment not because it criticized me (though accusing me of being a cult member is beyond the threshold of what would be considered flaming).

I attempted to respond via email, but discovered that the commenter had left an incorrect email address.

To anonymous commenter Lindsay - if you would like to discuss this issue further, please email me at david.croushore@gmail.com.

Hi Josh,

I'm not sure what system I'm learning. I'm using the book "Breakthrough Rapid Reading" by Peter Kump. I'm still early in the learning process, so I have a lot to learn.

Didn't post the answer this week, so here's half of it.

The next 2 lines are:

If I kept going it would be:

13211311123113112211
11131221133112132113212221

I'll stop there... anyone see it yet?

Yeah, it's a fun one. It is so easy to overlook the answer, then when you see it it just smacks you in the face.

Hi Hulbert,

Isn't it amazing how someone can be so naturally good at something that they cannot even comprehend the difficulty others have with it? I've been on both sides of that exchange - I was the guy who was good at calculus :-P - and it's always frustrating for both parties.
