The second way to take the comment is that it would be suicidal because the US would respond by bombing the F out of the North. That requires the belief that the US has the guts to do it. I don't believe our current administration has the guts to do it. The last thing this administration wants is confrontation and I don't think they would respond to actual aggression with counteraggression. They only like to call names (see media wars). So I guess I'll continue to get crappy gas mileage, but I like the truck, so I can live with that. Economically, it makes a lot more sense to keep the truck -- it would take a lot of gallons of gas to offset the cost of a new car -- but a Solstice sure would be fun.
