http://www.zeldainformer.com/ : Exclusive: My Hands On Look At The Nintendo 3DS - Zelda Informer

I believe, when it comes to Nintendo marketting, that Canada is considered a part of North America with the US. So they combine the US and Canadian markets to get their price. That goes hand in hand with release dates, because Australia is a different region/version whereas Canada and the US are the same region. I'll still be buying mine from down here. I can trade in my DSi for $100 , bringing it down to $250. I could also probably trade in some games, which would further bring the cost to below $200. EB Games is even accepting iPod touches as a trade in, so if I was really desparate I could probably get the 3DS for almost nothing. I use my touch a lot though, so most likely I'll just trade in my DSi XL (as the 3DS superseeds that) and some games that I never play, to drop it down to about $200.

Hahaha. I didn't bother because it was all stuff that we've seen posted on ZI many times before, although I do agree the players in most of them were atrocious.

I guess you could refer to it as the Nintendo 64-type design, except up to Gamecube crispness and quality. It is far superior to what the original N64 gave us, its just that as I turned the 3D off I was hit with a feeling of classic Nintendo 64, just with a better framerate, crisper quality (similar to The Wind Waker), and of course the slightly different look. I used the phrase 'in a regard' because the N64 feel is there, but as you said, the 3DS is far superior.

The Australia dollar is pretty much one for one with the US dollar. Technically speaking $349 Australian is currently worth $348.90 US dollars. So in other words, we literally have to pay about $100 more for the 3DS. The simple reason for it is that Australia is a much smaller country, with a population of 25 million. It's higher risk to sell to our smaller gaming market, so they significantly boost the price so that there is a higher return on the sales that they do make. That is the same reson why many of the smaller titles never make it out to Australia, because they think there just isn't a market for it. I've actually got an article coming out this Sunday about the pricing and economics of the 3DS, which is pretty much what I just said with more detail.

That's a real shame, but as you said, it's still worth it for the 2D, because those graphics are stunning as well. I probably spent about half of my play time with the 3D off just to admire the effort that's gone into the non-3D side of things. I guess you'd be glad that Nintendo is making it so that the games are not reliant upon the 3D to be enjoyed. It's weird, at Melbourne Zelda wasn't the big attraction so much. Kid Icarus was though - at least in my group. Here's to waiting for a commenter that was at the Melbourne one too......

http://www.zeldainformer.com/ : Why Does Link Have to Be Hylian? - Zelda Informer

Nope, I thought of that. That's why I said that the Fire Nation (not just firebenders) are 'considered the evil of the four' nations, because it is perception that makes them evil. As a nation they aren't 'evil'. It's just the Firelords likes Ozai, Sozen, Azulon and Azula really, plus some army figureheads, that influence the nature towards evil. As Zuko shows, it is ruling, not the people or nation, even during that timeframe, themselves. Just like the Gerudo aren't actually evil, it's just that their King and ruler is Ganondorf. I could have gone into detail about this age and that, but for the sake of the article and informing readers who aren't familiar with the series, such minute details aren't necessary. The Fire Nation is the 'evil' force at the time of the story. As both Zelda and Avatar show - no one is just plain evil, it is a matter of choices made and your past. The Fire Nation had to be 'good' once to be 'bad' now.

haha. It's funny how people like to think they find big falacies in articles, but they are so irrelevant.. No-one said anything about the order, I just listed the four tribes. But if you want to get technical, it is an ever repeating cycle, meaning that 'water-earth-fire-air' is the exact same as 'air-water-earth-fire'.

"Metroid is similar in the regard that the timeline is determined by its makers...That is how Metroid works - games are given definitive placements on the timeline." Your point being? Nothing unknown there. But seen as you're so knowledgeable about Metroid, why don't you actively become a part of Metroid Wiki: http://www.metroidwiki.org/index.php?title=Main_P....

Disagree and agree. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the sequel to the first one, and although it takes place in a parallel way, it also follows the first game. With the end of the universe in the first game, Mario, Peach and Bowser are sent back in time to the festival where the events of Galaxy 2 then occur. As Rosalina says (paraphrased) "nothing happens the same way twice". So it is my interpretation that although the events occur simultaneously, seen as the characters flow through one game to the next, it is a direct sequel.

My concern is that if there does end up being something like this, there is a high chance that it will be Japan only. There's that, and the fact that most of us will probably have purchased our 3DS long before OoT3DS is around.
