Yes, mine was doing the same thing yours was doing. You have to restore the phone with the EXACT same file that you are going to be using with redsn0w. I did this and now my problem is fixed and redsn0w is working.
redsn0w is working so far.
By the way, when redsn0w was "paused", there was nothing on the phone screen either. Hopefully this time around it is different.
Yes, I am restoring it right now with the original firmware and going to try to redo the redsnow again using the exact same file. We shall see what happens. I am using redsn0w 0.7.2
Labanitup, i'm using redsnow 0.7.2. It verified the .ipsw file however I do not know if it is the SAME file I used to restore on the iphone. I could not find the restore file that itunes uses (i'm on a mac) but I do have what I believe to be the same file itunes uses already downloaded on my desktop.
I have this same problem but i'm on a mac.
I am trying that now. How long does the "waiting to reboot" screen stay on for? its sitting there looking like its stagnant (paused), is that normal?
I have an iPhone 3g 8GB. I jailbroke the phone with Pwnage tool. I then installed the ultrasn0w hack through Cydia. When I restart the phone it is stuck on the pineapple screen. I have restored to original iphone software, jailbroken with pwnage tool, and installed ultrasn0w 2 more times. Every time, it is stuck on the pineapple screen on restart. Does anyone know what might be going on?
