Hmm, came back to this thread after seeing Ryan's 4/16/09 post, and the link seems to have changed. Try this for Anne Lauren's description of COMDT:

I don't use Twitter to accomplish any work tasks directly, but it has been a great way to keep an eye out on what folks are saying about the CG. The new Twirl app -- http://www.twhirl.org/ -- makes it simple to have a running display not only of the people I follow, but also of search terms you add once and follow from then on. I have "Coast Guard" and "USCG" on that list. I tried "CG," but found that most of those tweets refer to computer graphics. :-(

I can see the work being done by the public affairs and Aux staffs with public outreach and public education. I'd be interested in hearing how other folks are using twitter in their workflow to accomplish Coast Guard missions.

Sure did. I can't imagine how he could have just ignored the red squiggly line under that when he proofread it on screen before printing. ;-)

Thanks for sharing that Sean. I had a chuckle at some of the requirements too.

The first time I read it I missed the note on the front that said, "YEOMAN RATINGS ARE FILLED UP."

Appreciate the pointer! When I shared the link with some of my team, I saw that there are five more great articles on the page. So thanks for passing the link along and remind folks to go back and check again to get the new ones!

The link to the comment feed seems to work now. As to making a single feed with both posts and comments, the norm I've seen is to have it done in two separate feeds as opposed to having both in a single feed.

I'm still trying to find right mechanism to ask COMDT's support folks to syndicate comments on his blog. Since it's based on the Blogger platform, I think it's a simple configuration option, but there may be other reasons that make it harder than that.

Appreciate the quick reply. if you've got 300 folks watching the feed, I know you didn't do it just for me.
Peace,
Dan
