Yes, the poor and lower income are sooo unsophisticated. At least the Walmart will keep them all out of Whole Foods and Sunflower Market so i can shop without having to see the rabble.

I never implied that being a partisan was a bad thing, I am a proud partisan. Being a partisan does not mean you refuse to work with the other side, only that you have firm beliefs and are not likely to be swayed or are not an independent/unaffiliated. I'm sorry if you took my comment as an attack on being politically active or having strong views, but that is not the case. As I have repeatedly stated, I was expressing my disapproval with using destruction and carnage to make political gestures.

Well personal attacks on my character aside, I think we might have different definitions of partisan, bipartisan and hyper-partisan. Partisan means you have fixed political values and are unlikely to be swayed by the opposing side, bipartisanship is both parties working together despite their differences through compromise and hyper-partisanship is the refusal to work together resulting in gridlock. I merely meant to comment on the unfortunate nature of both sides to use tragedy to further their political ends.

Thank you commenters for proving my point from both Left and Right. And people wonder where hyper-partisanship comes from

Well I'm glad it didn't take long for people to politicize a natural disaster. I was just thinking we need more venom and blind accusations in politics.

Daily Camera.com: : Online politics: Parents block kids, friends sever ties over election - Boulder Daily Camera

They are all nuanced. Pro-Life, Exceptions for rape/incest/health of the mohter, No 3rd Trimester or partial birth, Pro-Choice. Universal healthcare, gov't voucher, public option, private health insurance. Robber baron, regulated monopolies (FTC), nationalized industry, collectivism. Pretty much every issue is nuanced, we just don't see it that way all the time

Daily Camera.com: : Hundreds in Colorado gather for Mitt Romney visit in Jefferson County - Boulder Daily Camera

The election is within striking distance for either candidate, with an edge for the president. Granted it is August, we've got a long way to go. If Gov. Romney can keep the focus on jobs and the economy he could win with a good VP pick. If the President can keep the focus on social issues and defining Gov. Romney, he should win. Either way, this is going to be a close race.

Let's be civil, no reason to attack the man for his religion. If you disagree with his proposed policies that's fine, I don't see what his Mormonism has to do with it

Daily Camera.com: : From the editorial advisory board: Tim Tebow - Boulder Daily Camera

What exactly is so offensive about Mr. Tebow's thanking God? He's not proselytizing, he's not putting down other faiths (or lack thereof) he is just expressing his personal beliefs, which he has a right to do. That aside why is this important at all? It's football. Successful evangelical quarterbacks are nothing new (Randall Cunningham, Kurt Warner, etc) and Mr. Tebow and the Broncos are winning. I for one could care less if he thanks God, Allah, Zeus or the flying spaghetti monster as long as he keeps winning
