It is called the Sport License. The pilot does not need to get an FAA approved Medical Certificate, he/she can use their State Drivers License as a Medical Certificate. So, if a pilot has High Blood Pressure, and has not been denied a FAA Medical Certificate [they found out about this medical problem since their last FAA Medical], they can still fly a General Aviation Aircraft ... I know that there are Pilots out there that stopped flying because of some Medical Problem and when the FAA approved this new License, they will just use their Drivers License to get back into the air..........
