It's an advantage to whomever plays on it regularly. What if we decided to go with orange turf... bright orange turf? Don't you think that would be and advantage at some point? That's about half the games you play with an advantage in your favor. Slight... but still an advantage. It seems to me that the NCAA should make a decision to have some degree of green turfs be required by all schools... or let the masses go insane. We won't get a better coach to Corvallis... and the fact that he's willing to take millions less to be a part of our community is simply HUGE. When Riley finally retires (let's hope it's like 20 years from now) it will take a miracle to get someone who wants to earn less money, work with lesser facilities and with all of the other recruiting deficiencies. Until we get a billion dollar sugar-daddy like other schools have, we'll be at a huge disadvantage in almost every way. Don't get me wrong... it's a good school and a nice place to live, but life in most of the rest of the Pac 10 (other than Pullman) is much, much more glamorous.
