AF_wife_in_NC......I never read as a kid or in early years until I read a book by Max Lucado. I have recently finished my 26th book by him and I am waiting for him to produce more. You might check him out....he has a web site: MaxLucado.com Granted he is spiritual but doesn't come across with the hell fire and damnation theory. His is an easy read yet full of good stuff I know your daughter will enjoy. His books are in your library....worth looking at. Good luck.....don't let her lose that reading desire !!!

YES THEY KNEW SOMETHING... THEY KNEW HOW TO MANAGE A LARGE COMPANY AND GM DIDN'T. I WORKED WITH GM MANAGEMENT YEARS AGO AND YOU WOULD THROW UP AT SOME OF THE IDEAS AND THOUGHTS THEY HAD. THEY KNEW IN THE LATE SIXTIES HOW TO BUILD A CAR THAT GOT 70 MPG BUT FIGURED THE AMERICAN CAR WOULD RULE OVER THE IMPORTS.....SURPRISE !!!!!!! THEIR IDEA WAS THAT AMERICANS WOULD BUY AMERICAN AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY !!!!!! SURPRISE !!!!!

I am afraid that you are right. Some time ago I entered in this space the only solution to our national problem.. It is found in the bible in Second Chronicles 7:14. God has dealt with countries such as ours has become and He has given us the way to turn it all around. I think maybe we are beyond listening to Him anymore. The passage is listed here: " If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
