Breitbart.com : Key US Senate panel puts off Supreme Court vote

"The justices serve … as the final arbiters of the US Constitution, setting precedents for all US courts..." This is an outright lie and myth of Judicial Supremacy. People would know this if they read Marbury v. Madison. "Why otherwise does it direct the judges to take an oath to support it? This oath certainly applies…to their conduct in their official character. How immoral to impose it on them, if they were to be used as the instruments, and the knowing instruments, for violating what they swear to support…Why does a judge swear to discharge his duties agreeably to the constitution of the United States, if that constitution forms no rule for his government? if it is closed upon him and cannot be inspected by him. If such be the real state of things, this is worse than solemn mockery. To prescribe, or to take this oath, becomes equally a crime." Marshal was saying that if judges (any judges) are cut off from examining the Constitution then it is a crime because they are breaking their oaths of office. No one takes an oath to obey the SC, yet it is believed today that the SC must be obeyed.

Big Hollywood : Pledge of Allegiance to Dissent: An Intolerant ‘Excess of Liberty’?

Personally, I would like to see the Pledge of Allegiance go away and instead have citizens pledge their allegiance to the Constitution. The Pledge is contrary to our founder's beliefs in that they did not form a perpetual Union. The States are only bound together as long as the contract (constitution) binding them, is followed by all parties. As it currently stands right now, we are a far cry from what the Framers gave us that any state would well be within its right to leave the Union if there is not a correction. While people might not want to acknowledge this fact, we live under a far more tyrannical government than King George. Unfortunately, one is hard pressed to find any politician willing to stand up and try to correct where we have gone wrong.

I do check the white box, but every time I do I expect to be tasered by the PC police. I should note that I did not write that because I felt they made me be something, but because of how the whole "race" issue has changed. If we had just one box to check that said American, I think this country would be much better off. BTW - I thought with the mention of Pluto that people would understand I was not be completely serious.

I was born caucasian, it says so right on my birth certificate (not a certificate of live birth), but somewhere in the last decade or so I was stripped of that du to I think the same forces that demoted Pluto from being a planet. Now longer am I "White", I am now "white of hispanic descent". As these ancestors came from Spain by way of Mexico I have found that people want to say I am of Mexican descent, because that is much worse than using Spain as country of origin. While my fathers side of the family was here before the Revolution, and my mothers side in Texas before it was an Independent country (throw in some native American as well), people still want to classify me as Mexican descent. I can only assume it gives them the feeling that they are superior.

Breitbart.com : Africa bishops speak of Obama in religious terms

There is nothing to unite a true believer to one that would advocate and actively promote the murder of the most innocent among us. I think their feelings are simply a reflection of the color of his skin and not what is in their hearts. If they think they can find common ground with a person that believes killing babies is okay, they need to go and reread their Bibles.

Breitbart.com : Gibbs: Furor over school speech is \'silly season\'

I am in full agreement that the feds should have no part of the education system. If I had my way I would disband the Dept of Ed immediately after I had rid us of the IRS, then would go on to ban public sector unions. However, if a complete moron wanted to tell kids to stay in school and learn all they could I have no objection to that. That does not mean I think that the public school system is great. I once had one of my kids teacher tell me a whale was a fish. How the woman made it to be a teacher is rather puzzling. I would agree that it would be more appropriate if he could have scheduled this talk after school when the parents and kids, could watch him together without the interference of a public school teacher.

If the speech only encompassed the importance of staying in school and doing well, there would be no problem. It's when you add a curriculum to it that is political where there is a problem. Then there is no telling what the sycophant liberal teachers will say to the children afterwards.

Big Hollywood : Undercover with Liberals! (RIP Crowder)

Steve, I like this but you are wrong on what the founders intended. There are only two issues in the Constitution that required more than a simple majority vote, Treaties, and removal from office after impeachment. The filibuster is a rule and is unconstitutional because it means everything is subject to more than just a simple majority vote.

It's a well established fact that conservatives give more than liberals do to charity, so you can't call them tightwads, but yes lefties are willing to pour money in order to promote the propaganda their side needs to win, where the right right doesn't because it naively believe the truth will prevail.

If Hollywood knew anything about our armed forces they would know that most of the special forces of this country are not big beefy guys. I can distinctly remember on huge guy in my unit who went to air assault school and washed out in the first few days. I was set to go to the next class and he was convinced I would never make it, which I did, and I am not a big guy. Of course I had already been through Infantry school and Airborne school so it was an easy course for me to get through. This big guy had of course been through basic training then went to aircraft maintenance school. (I was a Pathfinder, attached to an aviation unit.) If you saw my brother-in-law, you would never think he was a Green Beret. Hollywood for the most part has what makes a good American Combat soldier completely wrong, but isn’t that what Hollywood is about? Just to be fair they do get it right occasionally.

Breitbart.com : FACT CHECK: Don\'t quote Sotomayor on that, Senator

Courts do not make law, therefore Roe, v Wade is not settle law as Sotomayor stated. Every official that takes an oath of office is sworn to judge the Constitution for themselves and not be bound by court opinion. Nowhere in their oaths of office does it say they must follow judicial opinions if they violate the Constitution. In Marbury v. Madison where the court claims to get their present day Judicial supremacy, Justice Marshall said that to close off the Constitution to a judge that takes an oath to the Constitution would be a crime. If it cannot be closed off to an inferior judges it cannot be closed off to other office holders who also take an oath. The founders viewed the Court as the weakest of the three branches, it is apparent today that lawyers have turned it into the most powerful. That is obvious when the murder of the innocent can be made a woman’s right. What we need in this country is to elect people to office that will stand up to an unelected branch of the government and hold them to their proper duty and proper constraints. If they are unwilling, then they should promptly be removed from office. Judges do not hold office for life as many believe, but hold it for good behavior. By willfully violating the Constitution, they are also violating their oath of office, which is not good behavior and an impeachable offense. If only a few were removed, the rest would come in line pretty quick and then we the people would not have to put up with this absurdity of the courts being our defacto rulers.

Breitbart.com : Court decriminalizes gay sex in Indian capital

I wonder how Scott Long justifies a ruling of a court as Democracy in action. The gays don't like it when the issue is put to the people because they lose. They are trying to overturn a vote by the people in California. They had done it before to the people in California when they passed a law about marriage being between a man and a woman. For gays to talk about democracy in action is a joke, because that is the last thing they want.

FOX Toledo Online : Residents upset over parking violations

Anyone that says all laws must be followed is ignorant of what true law is. There are certain rights that are inalienable, which means they cannot be denied nor legitimately taken away. Among theses are the rights to Life, Liberty and Property. Any law that violates these three Prime rights are not law from their very inception, and it does not take a ruling by the courts to declare them such. The founders viewed such laws as nugatory, meaning they had no force or effect, something that has been forgotten in the dumbing down of the citizens so that violations of inalienable rights can take place.

Breitbart.com : McAuliffe defeat is another blow to Clinton legacy

The Clintons don't have the power they used to have because the press shifted their allegiance from them to Obama. He won the Democrat primary because of the sycophant lapdog press chose him. He won the Presidential election because the same demented people did everything they could to help him win out over McCain. If the press had even been remotely fair in their coverage, McCain despite being a poor candidate would have won. We no longer have a press that reports the truth. They have decided because they can manipulate what the people see they can now decide who will win an election. They have become the Kingmakers in American politics, and we all know in what direction their beliefs lay. While freedom of the press is a good concept if the press actually does what it is supposed to do, we need now we need a "freedom from the press".
