I hear ya. Definitely seen my share of disgusting tattoos. I was in my 30/ when I got my first and have a total of 6 now. All very dainty and feminine and most of all they mean something ... Like my kids names Around ankle or music notes ... I love their symbolism FOR ME. It's all about expression ... But u are so right ... And while I respect someones right To get plugs or those weird gauge things ... It's so not me!

Thank you for this well spoken opinion ... I have a lot of ideas and it's my job to express em to get debate started ... What a great one went on here! As for maturing ... Well I'm not as young as you think and maturity takes on different forms ... 38 years and a total of 6 kids ... One in college and 5 under 13 ... It takes all kinds for sure. For this I am thankful ... I hve To stay young to keep up w this crew or they'd run me over! Best to you wonderall2.

Reddreads, I love that you are being you. It is so important. I am tattooed and dress cool and love It. I have my own style. I sing in a band ... ... I love God, love this country and believe it must change back to constitutional values ... You keep doing what makes u feel like YOU and that'll keep u Confident and able to tout our -- it is so important -- and being yourself and not conforming in ways that really are just holding us back ... Is one way we Do that ... In short, screw stereotypes ... It takes ALL TYPES with common goals and interests to get the job done.

Big Government : John King Isn't a Republican, So Why Should He Pick Our Candidate?

My omission of Cain was not because I have forgotten about him -- but I was only pointing out perceived flaws in other candidates ... I don't see any glaring ones in Cain ... in fact, he might be my choice ... I'm still deciding though!

Yeah. Unfortunately, we don't seem to be getting wise to it! It seems so black and white to me, but then again, I was a reporter when we actually DID try to stay unbiased and we reported fact without opinion ... doesn't happen a lot anymore. Makes me so very sad.

Unfortunately, millions listen to him and other windbags daily ... the lack of interest in conservative issues and values proves it -- if people weren't listening and were voting THEIR consciences we'd be winning ... but people aren't. They're letting people like King and other CNN, MSN and liberal reporters everywhere set the message and they're buying it ...

YES! Thank you! You are right. I am slamming King for his arrogance in thinking he can make our choices -- but I am also challenging US to take that choice back! King is only doing what we've empowered him and other journalists like him to do in the past. We've got to TAKE BACK our right to choose for ourselves and also take action!

It doesn't just make us stupid -- it proves we are also LAZY and unmotivated ... If we indeed let someone else do our footwork (research) for us. Not to mention the fact it proves we are naive. ... What an absolutely absurd thing to do -- let someone else tell us who to vote for and decide our fate. Do we just take someone's word for it when we cross the street or do we look both ways ourselves to make sure its safe? ... We are sometimes a people who are too cavalier about HUGE decisions -- and choosing our candidates/president is one of em.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. As a journalist, the very nature of the job is to JOURNAL the happenings accurately and unbiased. Of course, we are all human ... but this is what we're supposed to do! What is going on now in mainstream media -- the endorsement of candidates by reporters -- is pitiful. It's one thing for a columnist or a paper or a network as a whole to endorse on their editorial pages ... but not in their news slots ... Makes me very sad. Please keep reading! And thank you so much for all the comments. Deanna

Big Government : Don't Let Fear Freeze Our Need to Act Now

I don't think so -- I think fear comes out as anger sometimes -- but more importantly, I am worried about those who simply choose to blow up in gatherings of like-minded people and share their feelings/disgust/fears with those who already understand them! In essence, I want us to stop preaching to the choir ... I also just want action ... I am tired of the silent majority and I am tired of us just taking it ... it's time to stand ... And I am hoping our candidates realize what made Obama so appealing to ppl last presidential election -- it was his 'hope' ... ppl like hope ... even if the person spouting it doesn't know a single thing about what he's doing ... they'll go to the hopeful over the angry every single time. Because whether or not we like to admit it, we are a glass-half-full people.
