They both need to vote NO on the amendment.
Rockefeller withdrew his amendment so its Murkowski or nothing.

The Left doesn't believe in abstaining from all fossil fuels, just a little conservation of their use and utilizing other energy aspects that less of an effect on the environment and people.

Again, what's with the tribalism?

I guess we won't be heading to the Dominican Republic with the suitcase full of Viagra this year.

Who wrote this Wile E. Coyote?
Let's ignore the fact that BP was drilling deeper than permitted and bypassed every safety step (like the ones enforced in the oil rich North Sea)- we've taken a collective stance that the environmental damage is not worth the minimal amount of oil possibly there.

The amount of oil speculated to be there is less than 2% of America's consumption, however the damage and ecological changes last for generations. Human DNA changes that can bring respiratory and health problems to you, and you can pass it on to your kids, your grandkids and your great-grandkids.

What is it with the tribalism with you conservatives that sacrifice and long term benefit analysis never factor in what you want and what you want now? Every damn time they take the side of business over people- every time.

Al Franken is the otherside of Michelle Bachmann? Are you fricken serious? What hatred has spilled from his mouth since being in Congress? Death panels? FEMA Camps? Indoctrination Programs? ACORN plot?
You went to school with Allen Quist, didn't you?

Again, four decades of the Republicans targeting the lowest common denominator and cashing in on hate and fear, this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who's paid attention. They've got Quist in the First, Crazy Bigot Attorney Women running against Ellison in Fifth, and Incumbent Bachmann in the Sixth. Their homegrown chickens are coming home to roost.

1. There is still a sizable amount of the electorate that will vote for you, just because you have DFL or R behind your name. That's first, having a base.
2. Next, access to the party resources also known as direct money, independent expenditures-like direct mail., radio and tv ads,- and unearned media.
3. Access to the not just the voter file but, the VAN, which is a voter file full of other information on voters (with indicators to let us know if this person has donated money, volunteered for a campaign, worked in politics, attended caucus, local party officer, frequent voter, etc) that one can use to target a list of most likely and likely supporters for the campaign to contact directly and persuade or/and turnout.

Do you know that the Republicans have not been able to produce a majority in the state Senate (34 members) in 30 years?
Why should republicans support the senate caucus endorsements or people donate to the caucus?
Are you aware that its been almost 40 years since the Republicans had an attorney general?

Perpich in 1986, that was the last time we won and won with an endorsed candidate.
The Republicans lost with endorsed candidates for a long, long time. Tim Pawlenty in 2002 was their first in a long time.

If I was a Republican, I'd stay far away from the types of staff hired in the White House. Bush had the most corrupt administration in history if you want to go by arrests and convictions alone. Even without speculating how many more of them would be in jail including Cheney himself if we actually investigated war crimes. So with the real arrests and criminal convictions, bush has set a bar second to none. Aside from their ethical lapses, they had the usual run of sex offenders, petty shoplifting thieves, financial cheats, abuse of power chiefs, liars under oath and Constitution shredders.
Anytime you're ready to actually name names, let me know.

Promises of Republican success with the same ol' rejected policies just don't bother me at all. Notice that you and every Republican are banking on a win- if the Democrats blow it. You don't have a formula for winning on your ideas. So, sit back and wait. It may happen, it may not.

This being the last day of the year and unofficially the end of the decade let's reflect on the Pawlenty years from majority leader to governor. In the last ten years, the Republicans in the legislator have over looked decency and moral character to endorse candidates who were pretty despicable people. The rapist/molester, the child abuser, the bigot, the liar, the wife beater, the tax cheat, the fraud, the cheater, and the thief. This guy fits rights in with that group.
